In your opinion what is the most accurate breitling chrono rep going? I'm looking at getting a gen Skyracer (I know they dont make a rep) but a CA is close to size and weight. So I want to try a rep similar to decide on the gen.

Is it the same ti used in gen watches? A different grade? I'm looking at the Seawolf and am wondering about the quality. If anyone can shed some light on the subject I would appreciate it.

I've read some reviews but they were years old. Does anyone currently make a Broad Arrow (white dial) with working chronograph?

It's strange, up until a week ago she was fine on the winder. I didn't know 21j's wound one way. How do I tell if the movement is dry?

My Rolex 21j movement loses significant time when left on my watch winder but keeps perfect time when on my wrist. The watch is maybe 1.5 yrs old. Any ideas?

When putting the caseback back on..... 1. Don't tighten it too tight, correct? It will break the gasket? 2. Should I lube something? with something?

I just want to tinker with a couple low end reps. I never wear a rep in the water, as I have a dedicated diver watch for aquatic adventures. I want to familiarize myself with the workings of watches. Perhaps adjust a fast/slow watch.

I have a Rolex Turn-o-graph and an Omega PO. Thinking of opening the PO up to get an idea of what goes on. I don't have any tools except duct tape and jewelers screw drivers. Is it a hard task?

Who can I go to in the community to service my watches? Is a movement swap just buying a new movement and swapping it out? Or is it a little more complicated? I have an IWC aquatimer I love and want serviced before it breaks down.

Overhaul or Full service. I know the movements we get are not in tip top shape. My keepers I'd like to have properly serviced as i plan to have them for many years to come.

I went to my only local watch smith who I know works on reps and he quoted me $275 to overhaul a watch, rep or gen. I find this a little too high. Is this a fair price to do an overhaul? I would rather someone on the forum work on my reps as I think they would have the added experience of working with reps. Am I correct in my thinking? With that said can someone let me know who I can email or pm on the forum to discuss potentially working on a couple of my reps? If you know of someone in Saint Louis, MO, even better.

I'm selling my Panerai 051 and have been offered a Rolex GMT Master IIc (the trader says it's regulated and Swiss ETA movt). I'ver heard so many things about the movement I'm a little gunshy. I've read the WHS has a better track record than the CHS but I'm not in the mood to deal with a watch with a history of question marks behind it. The GMT is what got me into watches so I do like the piece. Just wanted to get feelers from fellow members. Whatcha think?

Euro, So as of right now if you state the movement in your watch is ETA, it is a GEN ETA? Do you ship to the USA?

Because of what ETA is doing would it make sense to buy a rep with the Swiss ETA while they are available?

Will it take a Sinn bracelet? That's the question?

So it is quite possible a new movement would be needed? Do you know if an eta movt would fit in the Deepsea? I believe mine is a V2.
