  1. Dizzy, take a look at coronet opening on my dial. To me it is really small. I haven't seen one as small on a rep or gen.
  2. Well done mate! I love the blue! I have never seen that combo before.
  3. Does this method work for all bezel assemblies? Is it a good tutorial to follow? http://www.vikbobil.se/bezel.html
  4. When you have time, that would be spectacular! I am in no hurry. Thanks highoeyazmuhudee
  5. Do you know what type of inserts the PT 1665 will accept? MBK, another rep insert, or gen? I am happy with the one that came but want to sand down the insert to have it sit lower than the bezel lip and figure I will need a couple to practice on.
  6. http://blog.perpetue..._EXPLORER_1.jpg I love the size (39x12) It is very understated and simple (I kinda like the no date option) For some reason she is growing on me.
  7. Meant MBK, thanks for the correction. The coronet on my PT is god awful small. Thanks highoeyazmuhudee.
  8. 1. Can a MBK dial be put in a PT 1665 GW? Can any other dials be put in? - I dont mind the dial window so much (I need to look at some gen date windows first to confirm this for me). - What I dont like is the "hole" at the bottom of the coronet on the dial, the opening is miniscule - Putting a WTB ad in and checking the for sale parts forum the best place to find a MBW dial? 2. My understanding is the bezel insert needs to be filed down a bit since it is supposed to sit below the bezel a little, correct? 3. A 315-5513 insert is what the 1665 takes, correct? 4. Does a pearl come with? Or is a pearl one needed to be purchased separate - If so I have read an Ofrei pearl will work, correct? Thanks in advanced gents
  9. The above tutorial shows how to remove the stem, but how do you swap the Crown?
  10. It's as though the IWC Diver was made for a rubber strap. Looks good!
  11. @ Watchmeister: It came on a bracelet. After watching SpeedTv's Test Drive (Tommy Kendall always wore an Aquatimer with rubber strap) I decided to try one out. I can't wear leather so rubber is the only alt. and in this case it looks good. @ permabull: Yep, 2 hours. There was a couple walks outside to take a breather. This is the second strap from PT. The first one I received the buckle strap wouldn't allow the pin to catch so I sent it back. I filled just a bit on every area the strap came in contact with to try and get a fit. It wasn't easy and I think I got lucky. Probably should of spent another 1/2 hour filing parts down to make it easier to swap out but I was just so damn excited getting her on.
  12. I have been told they do. I guess we will soon see.
  13. Andy, forgive me. i meant to say Crown swap. A few beers at dinner, a few more surfing the net and my brain is scrambled. I have a gen crown id like to put on myself.
  14. No, standard rep bracelet, bought from PT.
  15. It took me 2 hours to mod the strap to fit. Well worth the work.
  16. Resurrecting the old thread. Is a stem swap this simple? I have a PT 1665 with a 2846 movt. Just want to make sure it is as easy as it looks.
  17. If you want to learn more about how are hobby works I would hold onto it and do a movt swap. if not still hold onto it for possible future use or "pay it forwqrd" at the appropriate time. if you really like the watch get a new and improved ine, still hold onto it.
  18. i just bought a pair of 7 for all mankind jeans that i think are fake, wore them on Xmas and the back belt loop broke! 1st time in my life that has ever happened! Seller had over 1500 feedback at 99%. For what I paid i dont care, the fit is excellent amd after a little needle action they were as good as new.
  19. I won the same calander! wish i could have won an Oris watch! I do t use a calander and if anyone fancies it can have it. shoot me an email.
