hi Fireman fred
IS that the SMP from watch silix with asian movement or the ETA version from silix prime.??
I am just right now thinking of getting one, and the one I saw on their watch silix site wasnt too crash hot.
they have a silix prime site which is suppose to be better quality.??
So please let me know, as I am about to get one soon.
thats exactly what happen to me with the cheaper asian movements. and may be
quality too due to the price... since then i always buy the ETA reps.. there are
a few dealers who sells them at a reasonable price compare to the asian movement
reps. check them out before buying ... its only few dollars more.....
u can actually record the position of the watch with crwon up, crown down , face up etc and
see whether it gain or loose.
that way, u can use the postion if rest to compensate the wearing of the watch during the day.
can u describe how slow it is .?? 15 seconds per day.??? or 1 or 2 minnutes per day.?
that screw is a fine adjustment only....
the movement could be its out of beat. therefore the little screw would not be able to compensate it.
So how much slower is it.?
yes, its nice.. for the price.
I had a ebel rep which is very good value. not super accurate. but
very nice. being not a popular watch. Not many would call me on it.
Wear it well.. very good review.
HI
I have been browsing silix prime, and notice he now has
a Tag Chrono with the red hands and rubber bracelet.
But its cheaper than other dealers.
I orginally wasnt going to buy it due to the price..
But at his price its within my price range...
I assume most reps are from same factory. I know
if it was a rolex sub then there are a lot of makers.
But his Tag seems to be pretty much the same as everyone
elses.
I had a omega deville new from the 1980s, which suppose to have 20 micron gold plated.
she still good today. only ever serviced once.
My gen. Rolex datejust two tone is over 10 years old. still looks perfect.
I havent gain enough to try a rep two tone though.

Also, the size of the bexel insert may not fit in properly.
U may need someone or do it urself to mil it down . As not
all bezel inserts are interchangable 100%. Do a search and
see what others had done before spending money.
