Thanks and ditto. If you one day should figure out who this unknown strap maker is, then you know where to find me..
LOL.. Will pass that on to my mates who designed it!
Try give it a full wind - not just a few as the 111 is a manual wind watch (so a good shake won't help) - and see how it behaves. If the problem still persist then take it to a rep friendly watchsmith and he will most probably be able to fix it for you, just like dluddy says.
Well, they are definitely not 703's as they are mono-block. Just like Ronin says the mono-block crowns go by the part number 704.
If they are gen or not is something that I leave to the experts to decide. But if gen, then I can vouch for them being great, reliable crowns (have two installed in my collection).
If you are looking for OEM I would say your best bet would be Paneristi and if rep, then probably the noob factory one from our TD's (looks pretty good but in terms of quality and feel I have some serious doubts ). During my first strap hunt I also think I saw BOB/ Waccex and Panatime having inexpensive straps inspired by the the OEM 005 stock strap.
I totally agree mate - it's been a lot of fun! There's sooooo many nice straps out there! So I tried out two out of five price ranges (dirt cheap, cheap, reasonable, expensive, insane) and I'm still a happy camper!
Stock is the "Gold Cashmere Calf" if I'm not mistaken. Here's what I ended up with as a start:
Edit: Finally some decent day light in my neck of the woods - so pics updated..
Now that is one beautiful franken! Too bad about the gen hands not fitting though because that would have been the perfect icing on this delicious cake..
