  1. Guys, What do you think to this sea dweller, no box or papers! Am I being a bit risky on this one.
  2. Still on the look out for a reasonably priced triple 666, but looks like I may need to buy on with no box or papers to get within my budget. What's your views on the risk of that? Also here's a link to one I have my eye on. Any feed back is greatly appreciated. If getting a 16660 isn't going to happen then I'm going to look at getting a 16600 instead. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/390398224949?redirect=mobile#ht_5100wt_689
  3. That was a great post, fun and informative. Love the watch too, I'm frightened how sh*t I am at telling a fake when it comes to these top end reps you guys build.
  4. The case back could be that of the test 5513 with hev, but the case maybe from a 5513, these case backs from testing didn't have numbers.
  5. The whole point of the creation of the seadweller was because of the hev. The first thing Rolex did was to install hev's to the submariner, it was after the success of this when the 1665 was then born, so to not have a hev would make it just a submariner.
  6. I actually like the watch, the functions are a pretty unique feature. Any ideas on price?
  7. Excellent, there's hasn't been much discussion on this new sd, or have I missed something?
  8. Are the lug holes the correct size? Could it take a gen bracelet and end links? Could it take a gen dial?
  9. What's the link to the one you've ordered? Would mine one myself.
  10. Taylor, as already suggested, check out bk's dssd, it's a little more, but it's well worth it here's the link to his offering. Hopefully there's some answers to your questions too. Take your time, do some searching and you'll find all the answers you need. http://www.rwg.cc/index.php?/topic/118415-Product-Offering:-Noobfactory-DSSD
  11. If its mostly gen then what's the point of a franken? The case and movement are the parts normally rep in a franken.
  12. The watch has been used as intended, the engraving is in reference to a marine company and it was used by their diver apparently. Explains the wear I guess. I've also been told its never been serviced, there's a date on the inside of the CB which refers to 1989, am I right?
  13. Found it! It's nice, but it's the matte dial that's doing if for me.
  14. The link is just taking me to the home page, I'm on my iphone in a bad signal area too....aaarrrrgggg.
  15. How much do you think is a fair price (in US$)? All paperwork, box etc in need of a service, little stretch on braclet and what you see in pics.
  16. Sounds good, I'll price in a service, last one I had was about £500 with a bezel change.
  17. Yeah that will be the gunk and possible a bit of the now dry gasket, it's not be serviced since purchase ('84), so s service will be needed. If I sent it to Rolex would they do anything stupid like change the hands or dial?
  18. I love the sea dweller, had my name down for a wm9, infact bk still hold my deposit, but just keep waiting for a decent rep as gen prices keep rising. Then I saw the 16660 and fell in love.
  19. Thinking of buying a 16660, what do you guys think to this one?
  20. The knowledge you guys have is incredible, it's this kind of chat that has me coming back all day every day.
