  1. It's unanimous then, everyone loves it hahaha. Must admit it's my first panerai and I bought the cobra along with a dark brown croc as a safer bet and it does look better.
  2. Just received my new 219 and white cobra strap both today in the post (double whammy). What do you guys think?
  3. Looking good,it mentions these are initial limited stock and will be shipped after 9th Feb, looks like Josh has pulled some strings to take advantage of the pre hype possibly on RWG.
  4. If you go to BK's watch garage and take a look at the thread titled: noob factory phasing out ETA, it has a good discussion on the two movements. I would paste the link but I'm using tapatalk via my iPhone.
  5. Just ordered a 219 from Tony and asked if he knew of any more desent Panerai reps out soon and he replied with this: hello Simon the pam005 will be out after the chinese new year ,in fact ,the factory can supply now ,but the CNY is coming ,they do not want to sell it now regards tony
  6. I'm struggling to see the difference, is it more a touching exercise?
  7. What's with the cheesy music on the you tube videos?
  8. Josh tells me he should have stock in about 3-4 weeks. I was gonna order one tomorrow but will get the 219 instead.
  9. Do you happen to have Tony's direct email?
  10. Had my Asian 7750 serviced just before Christmas with zig and he's worth the money. If you have a watch that's a keeper then send it for a full service to him. A1.
  11. I'll be very interested to see this.
  12. Interesting because I wear mine on the right and I'm right handed is this odd as I've never asked if people who wear on the right are left or right handed???
  13. Love it mambo, what's the origin of this one.
  14. I'm going to buy the 177L, but am interested on how much and from who people have bought. So a quick price comparison would be good, just list dealer, price, sipping cost and to where in the world.
  15. #2 for me, it's the only one which seems to have a racing car dash board look in it's design ( loving the sub dials). Tag probably gave them certain dimensions and criteria so as to be able to fit an existing movement in.
  16. WOW! Missed this place, for the record RWI and Repgeek are no substitute.
  17. Nicely done, very interesting stuff especially about the low beat movement, thanks for taking the time.
  18. I thought that to be the case, thanks for clearing that up for me. I think it's worth waiting for as the next choice is yuki, but the price is crazy for the amount of flaws people have pointed out compaired to MBW.
  19. That certainly is a nice 1665, but wouldn't mind going through the build as a bit of an interesting journey.Which trusted dealer would you recommend?
  20. Hi all, I know this subject causes some debate but I've done research and boy is it a mine field, I put it down to the gens themselves being built and changed alot years ago, so from what I can tell even a gen that has service parts added and replaced over the years can be a bit confusing. My point is that I'm interested in putting together my first vintage rolex and like the 1665 drsd, I've come to the conclusion that I'm wasting my money buying an out of the box watch as there's to many flaws so I'm after an MBW case set to start with and over time I want to add to it, but I'm having trouble finding a source. Can someone point me the way? Simon.
  21. Things are changing on the rep pam front. The out of the box ones are starting to get better and better and cheaper too. Rumour has it that there's gonna be a few out in 2011 so I would be patient and see, take the recent 177 and 111 for instance.
