I too had thought of that so I will have a go when it arrives! The factories don't usuallt tighten them too much anyway. By the way I love your posts on this beauty and it has made me revisit this rep since the V3 which was just not quite there in my eyes. Thanks!

I have the ultimate DeepSea coming from king next week but I want to change out the DW with a WM9 DW with much more accurate font etc that I have spare but I don't have a die for the back. Anyone here no where to get one from please!!

The bezel is not the problem, the crown guard recess is a little to deep and causes the crown to screw up too close to the bezel. It is slightly better on the Black V2 Sub case but not quite 100%. This is the only flaw in my opinion now but not a big issue for me on mine.

I think I will be wearing this until the return of my 3717 from Vac's spa!

Today is a good day to end the week on as my LV has landed on my waiting wrist!!

There will be some happy guys very soon as these get delivered after an agonising wait through 2009!

All I could say when I gently ripped open the packaging was 'WOW'. This is one superb Submariner and most definately the best there has been and most likely to ever be and I'm as pleased as punch!!

I'm not one for long reviews and I'm sure these will follow but here are a couple of shots of mine to keep you going until delivery day.

I must add though that this is not a standard LV. It has a genuine insert and genuine crystal. The bracelet is from the v1.5 WM9/precioustime Sub which has the best end links I have seen yet but solid mid links which I can live with. Everything else is standard other than the polishing of the rehaut and bezel as Bert states in his post earlier this week.

Onto the pics. Sorry they are not as good as some as I really need a better camera for xmas! All I can say is that Bert does a wonderful job on these and we are lucky to have him!!!

Thought I would wear this little beauty today! Picked it up at my local watchsmith on impulse. Rolled Gold Swiss Emperor chrono fitted with a Valjoux 7733 bi-compax in fabulous condition, fitted a new strap and off it goes. Paid

It's been a while since I did a wristcheck as my good camera was away from me but here goes with today's choice.

That looks beautiful my friend!! My mk1 is at Vac's spa having a gen movement and Dw's plus a relume and Cheif@s doble AR and I too would hope Concepta gets some more gen dials and hands and then I have perfection too!

Good to hear. Parcelforce fees are a joke but every now and then you have to pay.

I receive many items from USA through USPS/Parcelforce without any problems and it is very unlikely the parcel has been opened from America. As you say the reason will be that the seller did not fully declare the contents. I always declare as a either a watch bracelet - $15-$20 or costume jewelry and always tick the gift option. Just telll them it is an early xmas gift and make up what is inside as I doubt they will open and check, they never have with me yet anyway.

My watch will be delivered today so fingers crossed! Will report later with pics too.

Update:

The watch arrived today from King. So far it works perfectly. The build quality is superb and the end links are now perfect. Having seen many reps over the years and also many gen Rolex watches I do think the steel has a much brighter lustre especially in low light. The bezel insert is lovely and slightly recessed giving a nice polished lip.

Having got used to WM9 DW's the wheel on this is not very good but passable. I'm guessing this watch comes out of the same factory as the DSSD as there are finishing similarities to both.

I will take some pics over the weekend but overall I'm impressed with it so let's hope the movement pleases me too!

One point I forgot to mention, not sure if this applies with Josh/Andrew models but the rehaut serial is not 'V' but 'Z'! and I do notice that none of the dealers focus on the rehaut engraving so maybe other's who received this can confirm what their's say.

mine is in customs as we speak and hopefully will be released tomorrow. Uk is slow at the minute due to strikes as it arrived here Sunday night!!

I know what you mean but I'm more a wearer than a photographer of them. King shipped mine yetserday so I'll do some pics when it arrives next week.

Watch this space Maciek and the 3717 you sold me in September will emerge from Vac's Spa with some really nice goodies fitted and upgraded.

A bit too early but maybe by the end of this week someone may have got one. I'm getting one from King on Monday but it may not arrive until next week.

I have always been on the fence with this rep because of the insert and the horribly chunky end links but this does look better finished and has brought me down to buy one.

The hand stack does not bother me that much as no-one I know is that clued up and on the wrist it is hard to spot to be honest as long as the general aesthetics are very closely reproduced.

The price is suspect becasue this movement will be very cheaply made I guess but that is the price of jumping on one early doors!

Looks very good. I have never bought this model because of the humpback end links as it would annoy the hell out of me but I may now think about it. That said, the pics on Josh's site of the latest V rep looks to have a smoother end links and not as chunky. Well done

BK already has the cases but not some other parts and did not say anything about a flaw. I too am geting the z case without engraving. May just be another stalling tactic from George.

Just downloaded it this afternoon but not had time to play yet. I also got Christie's app which is great showing a lot of great info from the specialist watch auctions and upcoming dates too.

To be honest I would not buy another gen now that the WM9's are getting better and better with each series unless as Randy says the price is too tempting. Only the fit and finish of the bracelet really makes the difference in the rep in my opinion. I would buy a gen of something else and wear the rep Sub. just my thoughts Maciek!

I was concerned about the rehaut engraqving on the LV but it looks very good in the pics. Is it me or is the crown a liitle too near the case. I'm being picky though as it looks very good on the whole.
