These are from a book called Disorder in the American Courts, and are things people actually said in court, word for word, taken down and now published by court reporters who had the torment of staying calm while these exchanges were actually taking place. It's worth reading to the end! ATTORNEY: Are you sexually active? WITNESS: No, I just lie there. ________________________________ ATTORNEY: What is your date of birth? WITNESS: July 18Th. ATTORNEY: What year? WITNESS: Every year. _____________________________________ ATTORNEY: What gear were you in at the moment of the impact? WITNESS: Gucci sweats and Reebok's. ______________________________________ ATTORNEY: This myasthenia gravis, does it affect your memory at all? WITNESS: Yes. ATTORNEY: And in what ways does it affect your memory? WITNESS: I forget. ATTORNEY: You forget? Can you give us an example of something you forgot? _____________________________________ ATTORNEY: How old is your son, the one living with you? WITNESS: Thirty-eight or thirty-five, I can't remember which. ATTORNEY: How long has he lived with you? WITNESS: Forty-five years. _____________________________________ ATTORNEY: What was the first thing your husband said to you that morning? WITNESS: He said, "Where am I, Cathy?" ATTORNEY: And why did that upset you? WITNESS: My name is Susan. ______________________________________ ATTORNEY: Do you know if your daughter has ever been involved in voodoo? WITNESS: We both do. ATTORNEY: Voodoo? WITNESS: We do. ATTORNEY: You do? WITNESS: Yes, voodoo. ______________________________________ ATTORNEY: Now doctor, isn't it true that when a person dies in his sleep, he doesn't know about it until the next morning? WITNESS: Did you actually pass the bar exam? ____________________________________ ATTORNEY: The youngest son, the twenty-year-old, how old is he? WITNESS: Uh, he's twenty-one. ________________________________________ ATTORNEY: Were you present when your picture was taken? WITNESS: Would you repeat the question? ______________________________________ ATTORNEY: So the date of conception (of the baby) was August 8Th? WITNESS: Yes. ATTORNEY: And what were you doing at that time? WITNESS: Uh.... ______________________________________ ATTORNEY: She had three children, right? WITNESS: Yes. ATTORNEY: How many were boys? WITNESS: None. ATTORNEY: Were there any girls? ______________________________________ ATTORNEY: How was your first marriage terminated? WITNESS: By death. ATTORNEY: And by whose death was it terminated? ______________________________________ ATTORNEY: Can you describe the individual? WITNESS: He was about medium height and had a beard. ATTORNEY: Was this a male or a female? ______________________________________ ATTORNEY: Is your appearance here this morning pursuant to a deposition notice which I sent to your attorney? WITNESS: No, this is how I dress when I go to work. ______________________________________ ATTORNEY: Doctor, how many of your autopsies have you performed on dead people? WITNESS: All my autopsies are performed on dead people. ______________________________________ ATTORNEY: ALL your responses MUST be oral, OK? What school did you go to? WITNESS: Oral. ______________________________________ ATTORNEY: Do you recall the time that you examined the body? WITNESS: The autopsy started around 8:30 p.m. ATTORNEY: And Mr. Denton was dead at the time? WITNESS: No, he was sitting on the table wondering why I was doing an autopsy on him! ____________________________________________ ATTORNEY: Are you qualified to give a urine sample? WITNESS: Huh? ____________________________________________ And the best for last ATTORNEY: Doctor, before you performed the autopsy, did you check for a pulse? WITNESS: No. ATTORNEY: Did you check for blood pressure? WITNESS: No. ATTORNEY: Did you check for breathing? WITNESS: No. ATTORNEY: So, then it is possible that the patient was alive when you began the autopsy? WITNESS: No. ATTORNEY: How can you be so sure, Doctor? WITNESS: Because his brain was sitting on my desk in a jar. ATTORNEY: But could the patient have still been alive, nevertheless? WITNESS: Yes, it is possible that he could have been alive and practicing law.

Gen Iwc Gst -- Does It Have Ar Coating?
swdivad replied to watchlover321's topic in General Discussion
Yes, forgot to mention that as well... The surface reflection was very subdued, almost blurred or hazy. I don't know if this is because of AR coat on the outside, or the sapphire had a special texture to it. It was very pleasing to the eye -
Gen Iwc Gst -- Does It Have Ar Coating?
swdivad replied to watchlover321's topic in General Discussion
I was just admiring some IWCs at the AD here... Although there were no GST chronos, there were some Aquatimer chronos there and they did have an AR coat. -
Thanks for the comments guys I have really loved the 91 for the past year, it is a beautiful watch. I've been wanting to get into something that is a bit less dressy over the last few months, so I've tentavely chosen the 089 (yes, I love anthracite ) On the other extreme, I may buy a more historic model... so many choices One of the criteria is that the watch hasn't been repped yet, so that narrows the choices down, but just a bit Anyway, when it's all done, there'll be a flurry of wrist shots.

swdivad replied to Category 5's topic in General Discussion
Well the second photo is surely a Big Pilot... first one's hard to tell. -
... with the old: IN with the new: I'll miss my 091, but I think this is a great progression along similar path

Oooh... That is wicked!! Which one of our own did it come from? One day I will get one, when I tire of Panerai
-
Excellent collection, these are some of the best!! Wear them well!

I'd say oxidized/anodized, or some type of coating process like that, but definately not PVD. I doubt they paint buckles, that would be horrible LOL
-
Love those!! I tried to get her into a mini, but she wants something that's a bit more practical and comfortable

This is a very long and ongoing saga carried over from the previous RWG forum John... If you have time to waste, I'm sure a search will bring you to the font of info about this project.

Display caseback and metal band make this a great deal Mine has been sold already, so this is probably the only one available in the world at the moment. If you're looking to get this watch, this is the time as it will be more expensive anywhere else.

LOL, that's a scary question. My limit has been $230 so far, I can't see it going higher than that. There are lot's of good straps out there in the $80-130 range. Europelli has been my most purchased brand, the quality is great and Drew is an excellent guy! For custom straps, Aaron HKTan is the way to go for me so far. Just ordered a Metta from Rob and he has been very communicative and thorough throughout our dealings Good luck with your purchase!

Where are all the car enthusiasts when you need 'em

This one went about a month ago, it is a lovely watch, just not quite for me... You can usually get them for $800-900 Have a look on the Big Watch Forum also, they have them on from time to time, but they are pretty rare and out of production. There may be a waiting list being offered on the RXW site.

Thanks Miss Understood for your insight BMW is her preference after choosing over Mercedes, Audi, and Peugot The 318ti was actually her first choice and what we were looking for; She likes it because it's small, economical, and relates BMW with quality German engineering. While we were at the lot, she saw the 320i and really liked it... The 318ti is a little more practical for her being smaller/easier to park, more fuel efficient, and a little cheaper. Being newer with fewer Ks was also a big plus. On the other hand, the 320i was more practical because it has 4 doors and probably will be worth a little more as well in 3-5 years when moving to something else. It is also not as sporty and more elegant than the ti She likes both, but buying both is not an option at the moment
