  1. OOOOO...my dream watch....beautiful!!!
  2. So I was just browsing around one of our 'collectors' sites and I came across this watch: http://www.watcheden.com/panerai-luminor-marina-unitas-6497-movement-pvd-case-with-rubber-strap-ar-coating-i-17834-p-1.html It appears to be a PAM 111 H. I figured out the H part based on images from their sister site here: http://www.idolreplicas.com/panerai-luminor-marina-militare-unitas-6497-movement-pvd-case-with-black-dial-rubber-strap-replica-watch--35346.html Looking around I have found that people do aftermarket PVD or 'DLC' on PAMs, and I found a 111 E that was that way: http://www.watchuwant.com/watches/panerai-pam-111-e-luminor-marina-44mm-aftermarket-dlc-coated-black-stainless-steel The 111 H looks pretty accurate to me, I think its got a sandwich dial (again pics). The case markings seem correct for a 111 (OP 6567, numbered out of 2000, correct movement markings for H series) based on these references: Gen 111 H for sale (movement view in caseback looks same, as does OP number, etc.): http://forums.watchuseek.com/showthread.php?t=204564 Info on 111 H number in series: http://www.paneraisource.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=463 What do y'all think? I just thought it was an interesting conversation to have...cheers...
  3. So I ordered a Navitimer from Mary. She sent me pictures to evaluate it before she sends it out. I am not an expert by any means so I was wondering if it looked good to you masters o' breitling. Here's Pics....Thanks! Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  4. mmmm..very nice...what do you mean by cased the dial?
  5. Wow, thanks for the thorough response. I guess I'm about to say something sacrilegious but I'm definitely not a ginormous stickler for perfection on this. If I can get a solid caseback, like the one you mentioned where do you get one of those? (I'd take pretty much any B caseback with an OP that is from a PVD 44mm...6519, 6521, 6523, 6526, 6504, 6502, etc.), versus see through and the 26 from puretime is a pretty close approximation of a 26 luminova L s L dial (my untrained eye thought they looked pretty good) then I'd be pretty happy (and a new strap of course). Does that seem likely? Thanks!
  6. So I always wear my watches on my left wrist and so a Destro PAM 026 would be perfect for me. However, I'm confused and wanted to see if you Panerai geniuses could help me out... From what I've found the original 026 had a T Swiss T dial according to Panerai Source. However, I found an original PAM 026B and it has an L Swiss L dial found at Art of Time. Now the NEW 026 has an L Swiss Made L dial. So I am totally confused. I was thinking of getting this: http://puretimewatch.com/product/pam026/ My question is, that watch has the L Swiss L of the GEN 026 B I found, is the rest of the dial right or completely off? I know it needs a solid caseback to be more accurate, is that something I can get for it? I've done some searching around and seen other peoples 026's but I know nothing so thought I'd ask the experts. Thanks All!
  7. So the pic looks real (stock photo), then you open the page and look at the 3rd photo....LOL... ....I've never seen a real Breitling that looked like that... http://cgi.ebay.com/BREITLING-NAVITIMER-/260624126032?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Wristwatches&hash=item3cae689050 enjoy!
  8. Thanks for the input everyone, I might look at the world if I can find a rep in the blue version, the only issue I have with it is it doesn't have the contrasting white subdials which I really like, I have almost a 9" wrist so I pull off a big watch really well (as you can guess I'm not a small guy). The two-tone is gorgeous but I want an everyday and already have a TT Submariner. The tricompax I fell in love with was at the Las Vegas Tourneau Store, SS bracelet, lighter blue face with stick markings, so I want an SS Blue with Stick still, just wanted to know where people had gone but now I'll have to see if I can find a blue world! Thanks again. Feel free to leave more input.
  9. This is one of those usual posts. My wife is giving me a long desired tri-compax navitimer for Father's day. I was curious if anyone had purchased one recently, who you purchased it from, and why. I've read all the reviews, posts etc. and I think I've narrowed it down to 2 seller's (Joshua or Andrew) but I thought I'd ask first in case anyone had any insight with their own experience. Thanks!
  10. Just wanted to say thanks to maxman who sent me an entire clasp which happened to be much nicer than the one I have. It fit like a charm and I can wear my PO again, YAY! So thanks again maxman!
  11. I think I just need a normal link all brushed, no polish,I have a red/blue bezel GMT II. I'm happy to pay for postage and whatever you want for the link, should I send you my address? Thanks!
  12. Great ideas, but no, not resolved, I would love a new link and screw, Lani should I PM you? Thanks!
  13. Thanks for the tips folks, very helpful indeed . Guess when I'm ready to buy I'll go with Ruby and save $$$$!
  14. Wow, that's really generous guys! I would of course pay you for shipping and if you wanted something for the bracelet that would be fine too. What info would you need on the watch to tell if you've a got a band that will fit? Do you need pics? Thanks!
  15. Hi All, So I've read the Navi guide and looked at all the dealers and Ruby's price is a fair amount less than the other dealers ($60 - $80), does anyone have experience with Ruby's Navi versus the other dealers? I searched but didn't find anything so thought I'd ask. Thanks!
  16. So I've got a cheap GMT II and one of the screws is stripped out in the bracelet. Now because of how little this guy cost ($68 shipped) normally I'd just look to get a better rep but this was the first automatic Rolex rep I ever got so it has sentimental value. Any suggestions on repairing the link? Should I just glue the screw in? Thanks all!
  17. Yup, didn't even notice that! It says it's solid titanium but I think it would be significantly more expensive if that were true. I wonder if it's just SS and you could polish it to make it correct.
  18. Joshua, Kingswatch both have a nice PVD 000...
  19. I think Joshua has a pretty accurate 000: http://www.perfect-hour.com/pn00002-logo-series-titanium-asian-unitas-6497-21600bp-p-7403.html I am NOT an expert but the caseback looks accurate except for the black coloring (which I'm sure would be easy to remove). Also, the back makes it an H series (2005) and the face has L Swiss L which is accurate for the H series I believe (don't know if the shape of the numbers is right tho). Also comes in a PVD version which apparently is something people do aftermarket to the gen pretty frequently. Also, Joshua's has the correct 17 jewel 21600bph movement. Here's a PVD'd gen for reference: http://www.watchuwant.com/watches/panerai-pam-000-g-luminor-base-44mm-aftermarket-dlc-coated-black-stainless-steel Cheers.
  20. I have a 45mm, thx tho Definitely let me know if you find the thread you mentioned!
  21. Hi All, My PO lost part of the clasp today, it just popped out and I can't find it, does anyone know if it's a part I can get somewhere? I've attached a picture with the piece that popped out circled in red. Thanks!
  22. I think I'd rather have the SS w/out white gold wrap as it won't ever wear off and no one will tell the difference. Also, I checked with my local AD and its available in the US but very rare apparently. Was quoted 28k as well, they said they'd be happy to order it in if I put down a 10% deposit .
  23. Thanks for posting this! Only one I saw close was watch eden's and it didn't look quite right (too light), will likely have to pick this up! Just a note, the gen of this watch only comes in TT, SS & white gold, so I think on the rep they just polish the center of the band since polished SS looks a LOT like white gold. Looks like it comes in an asian movement too: http://www.jpc8118.com/0000000000rlss01004...836-p-5941.html No one I know would believe I'd spent 30k US on a watch tho
  24. Other than the morgan logo and the see through face it looks a lot like a big bang, maybe too similar for them to consider rep?
