  3. I guess you really cant please everybody.....great watches, Im in love with the BCE as well.
  4. Im sooo not posting here....wouldn't want to get flamed as a nooob
  5. welcome to the board dude. I like the lesser knowns reps myself. Honestly I hadn't heard of many of the watches freaquently discussed here. I imediately fell in love with Breitlings but recently found out that all the rappers are wearing iced out Naivi's these days which means they are probably being cloned all to hell DAMMIT!! Anyway enjoy the board. Hope yo find exactly what your looking for.
  6. NICE!!! I love big watches, LOVE EM!!
  7. I hate snobs, gun snobs watch snobs whatever (im a gun guy too). I don't understand why some people feel the need to denigrate others to be happy. I would think owning a gen would be enough. I cant afford a gen, when I can I will surely buy one. For now, I choose to satisfy my taste for these great watches with replicas. I wouldn't be surprised if most of the snobs on the gen forum once proundly owned a replica. How soon they forget.
  8. those pics are amazing, the difference is clear lol
  9. nice presentation. something else for me to buy DAMMIT!!
  10. DAMMIT!!! I knew this was too good to be true..... Ok, Im not going to jump the gun here, but this does concern me a bit.
  11. Oh my. What a nice watch. The PO (rep)is on my hit list for sure. Maybe one day I can own a Gen like you. I'm curious, is there anything about the watch that didn't meet your expectations? Any imperfections?
  12. Congratulations on the best intro thread I have read so far. My original reply was going to be about how I disagree with your original posts, but after reading further I decided it really is a moot point. Anyway, I have really enjoyed this thread, you are obviously a talented writer, articulate, and witty. If we are lucky you will stick around and bless the forum with great reviews on all reps that you aquire. Good luck, this forum is great, except for the time and monetary investment required to play here lol (shoulda read the fine print)
  13. Well I thought that went without saying, should anyway. I definitely wouldn't ever take a rep to an AD. Im a noob to rep watches but not to life Now in a related topic, would a regular watchsmith like the ones found in the no-name jewlery stores in the mall, be able to service thes watches, or do these movements require someone with more specialized training to perform work on them? Let me know if that has been answered in a different thread, or if I should just start a new one for this question. In the mean time, I will do a search for the answer. Thanks again.
  14. Thanks guys for the warm welcome even with the sarcasm of some ( Gran) lol. I have been reading and reading and reading, and I am anxious to purchase my firest (technically second) Rep. I am still a little too aprehensive to go after the more expensive reps. So I think I might start out with with a cheaper $120 ones from Andy or watcheden just to test the waters. There are so many great pics in here of members' watches that I keep changing my mind on what I want. What I do know is that I am partial to big watches, I have been wearing a huge (probably 50mm) citizen eco-drive divers watch daily for the last couple of years, (I can post pics if anybody cares) and it makes any other watch I wear look like a childrens watch. Im sure my first purchase will either be a Britling or Omega because I love that destinguished look, but I think will be lost with anything bigger than a 45mm. Anyway I can already tell Im going to build a small collection of reps. Hopefully I can keep myself from breaking the bank. We will see. Oh this is more like the Ulysse that I saw Maxman - I paid about $125 for that watch in 2000. I was in college and it impressed the ladies so I wore it everyday Master of Puppets - I wish I didn't throw it away, but I was too embarassed to take a fake Rolly to the watch shop to get fixed. I guess they wouldn't care if was fake as long as my money was real. lesson learned.
  15. You just forced me to buy a Skyland....thanks great review by the way.
  16. I go by trendsetta (or just trend), Im from Washington D.C., Im 27 and I'm a supernoob. I was recently vacationing in St. Thomas when I saw an advertisement in the Airport for a Ulyss Nardin watch that was just damned sexy. This sparked a good conversation between me and my good friend about high end watches and how your average person doesn't know anything about them save Rolex. Anyway, I googled that Ulyss watch using my iphone to see how unaffordable it would be and as expected it wasn't cheap. My friend told me to look up his favorite an Omega Planet Ocean, another great watch, and again pretty expensive. But I did see some ads for replicas... I remembered a few years ago I owned a fake Rolex YachtMaster that I bought from a guy out of the trunk of his car. The YM was solid, the bezel was tight, and the second hand swept, well it had really small ticks, and you could see the movement through the case, (which I thought was cool). Even though it was fake, it probably was the best watch I owned up to that point (besides I was only 20). I wore the watch daily for about 2 years, and got many compliments (except from this old chinease dude who laughed at me lol). The watch eventually died when the screw down crown just broke off. The watch actually still worked fine, just looked really stupid without a crown so I threw it away So my first experience with a rep made me feel confident in buying a new one. As I searched the net I found a lot great looking sites selling reps. Then when I tried to find people who bought from those sites I found "forums" that were obviously created by the owners of the sites, warning of other fraud sites. Then I checked those sites and saw they had similar blogs and forums that said to avoid the first site I checked. This made me skeptical of buying on the net at all. Then somehow I found RWG. Ive been looking around for a few days now, and it seems like there are a lot of good people here with a lot of good information. Now im a little overwhelmed because there are sooo many great watches out there and Im not rich enough to buy them all, so the journey begins to find the right rep from the right dealer. Im both excited and worried at the same time, because this could get addictive lol oh well. You only live once....I think.
