  1. Gongrats, no bad at all! And @USD51 it's a steal! In comparison with reps from 'our' dealers: inferior about hands (black instead than SS), crown guard, date mag power equal about crown, caseback, date-change pusher, off-center cyclops superior about size of the PR gauge (but equal to the one from EddieLee & River) ...at about half the price (much lesser, when compared to EddieLee & River's)! If it proves to be acceptably precise and durable then you made a deal, I think...
  2. That 'D' is going to become the recessed pin of box&papers... @Dani: your fiddy papers are supposed to be from EL, are they?
  3. Actually, I was talking about the gen (if any)
  4. No apologies needed. Actually I am unsure on how Tritium's glowing relates to its radioactivity -- whether linearly, inverse-exponentially, or what. Since you seem quite informed on it, do you have by chance any reference about?
  5. Better, as it is usually used (ouch) to design the 'new' asian 7750
  6. Yes. Better. Important. Yes. It would make me even more proud about my watch. HEY FOLKS, THIS IS THE ONE BEING REPPED WORLDWIDE!
  7. I seem to remember that Tritium half-life is about 13 years. So in 7-8 years its radioactivity would decrease to about 70% -- not so bad after all.
  8. http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=1414 http://www.replicawatchreport.com/articles...e-eta-7750.html (same review though)
  9. In hardware stores they should have liquids to get locked screws unlocked. I recently saw it @ Leroi Merlin... if it also exists in UK...
  10. Is that supposed to be worn on scuba diving?!?
  11. It's just me, or I heard someone asking: Who Has The Best Daytona?
  12. 1343 + 26 = 1369 great idea this topic
  13. Ok, did some search. Results: Genuines (or supposed to be -- plase advice if you think differently): ??? (on eBay now @EUR100): Reps: Andrew: Angus: Aspire: Eddie Lee: Homer: Joshua: Quite puzzliing. What do you think? To me, it seems that there are two types of cards, both gen and rep: 1 - Without the "FIRENZE 1860" inscription, and with only "PANERAI" in the background. This appears as the most common or reliable gen version. Only EL has it. 2 - With the "FIRENZE 1860" inscription, and with "OFFICINE PANERAI" in the background. In the gen version it has the correct "CERTIFICATO" spelling, while in the rep version it is "CERTIFIDATO". All 'our' dealers but EL have this one.
  14. @veni12 & PAMman: really thanks, your info is very useful. @veni12: Pls would you post a scan or shot of your card? Or tell me if it has "FIRENZE 1860" or else, and which inscriptions ("OFFICINE PANERAI" or "PANERAI") in the background? Can you tell me which dealer did you get it from? @PAMman: Pls would you post a scan or shot of one of your cards? (preferably gen, but also rep is ok since it is 100%). Or tell me which inscriptions ("OFFICINE PANERAI" or "PANERAI") it has in the background? Can you tell me which dealer did you get your rep card from? Really thanks again, :sss:
  15. This is VERY interesting! Thanks! I'm going to start a search about the genuine (if no member owning a gen is going to help ). I personally find your version less disturbing than mine even if it should result less close to gen. How can a certificate be supposed to have spell errors?
  16. @ahchard: thanks for your reply @mossanti: I think it would be worth, if it just was correct
  17. Am I too late? 187, because of that nice blue '1000' inscription. Oh, and because of date too....
  18. Simply 'cos Rollies are boring and PAMs are exciting... No real history?!? MHUAHAHAHAH!!!!!!
  19. Ok, I admit it. I am one of those who bught box and papers too. Just 1 over 8 watches, just to get a hint on how the real thing looks and feels, but I actually bought it. Some months ago now. A PAM box + papers set. Too bad, I right now noticed a deadout flaw in the 'international guarantee certificate' (that small plasticized gray card resembling of a CC). The Italian writing actually spells 'CERTIFIDATO DI GARANZIA" where it should be 'CERTIFICATO' Is it about mine only, or anyone else got this card? Are there cards with the correct writing? Do you think this is an issue that I could ask for a replacement? ...and it's some months that the dealer I got it from seems missing now...
  20. Ouch, Ken, my apologies. I still not get accustomed with that new link section -- to my shame, as it is a great new idea.
  21. Ouch. Paneraitis phase 1. According with Esmarc's Paneraitis staging: phase 1: What is a PAM? phase 2: Wow, a PAM! phase 3: Where is my PAM? phase 3: Where is my next PAM?!?
  22. You are not wrong, but good chinese copies seem actually limited to Miyota and the 'new' 7750.
  23. Yes, and here is the follow-up: http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=2390
