Vienna! Nice to see you here! Always a master in drawing / painting? Always two- or three- headed about your studies?

That 104 was from Andrew. The watch(es) I got from TTK are a 090 and a 027/028 (which I modded to a 027). I posted this latter one at about the same time of the 104, and I think this is the reason for that association you made. The box and cards were from Angus. Exactly on that occasion, while taking shots of those watches, I noticed the 'CERTIFIDATO" flaw. I already started a thread and a poll on this issue. Hope this is clarifying enough.

Thanks, John. I think that my English drove me wrong. I believed that 'OEM' was synonymous of 'genuine', so I also supposed your 2nd pic was from a gen, hence I got confused.
-
If you are a bit paranoical then I am too, as I also had that thought. But he would be a real Machiavelli, if any. I am missing what you are referring to... pls would you explain a bit?
-
Surely no offense taken here -- and I was actually speaking seriously.
-
Usil, sorry for the two types of [censored] you got.

Oh, well... at least I got some unbiased opinions on my 104 quality, and even a testimony from the owner of a genuine certifiCate card (which I recently sought so much for, see http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=3522)...

Thanks jraines, I really hope so. While I could at some extent be flattered that someone thought my pics of my 104 (USD 88, you figure!) nice enough to post them on Paneristi forum, I would have never been able to suppose that they would end up there... I also wonder what could have happened if I did not recognize my pics... Maybe I could have even be taken responsible of that scam!?!

Here, now I have been somehow involved by some idiot who stole my pics!!! http://www.network54.com/Forum/353390/thre...04+H+Series..... http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=3252

Personally, the funniest thing to me is the International Guarantee "CertifiDato" On a 2nd look: THAT AS***LE STOLE MY PICS!!!! http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=3252

This makes for a time I am missing the old 'bashing-[stupid]-noobs'-style of RWG I. That was at least driving some idiots out from our forum.

So I walked into a Rolex dealer with my rep Yachtmaster
sssurfer replied to a topic in The Rolex Area
Folex69, you say that you are new to the rep scene (hence you are likely not yet very good in evaluating whether a rep is a good rep), that you got that YM from another guy (who would hardly be so anxious to give it away if it was a perfect rep) -- and you would have done that AD stuff?!? Frankly, I don't believe a single word of your tale, apart from those two first things above said. But ok, let's play the 'it was all true' game... Then, please realize that: 1) You lost a girl who was probably genuinely interested on you (not on your watch). This is the only way to give reason for her forgiving your 'do you like my rolex?' approach. 2) You lost her not because you were not wearing a genuine rolex, but because of your pointless behaviour. 3) I can understand why you are searching for a girl more interested in your money than in your brain. Apologies for my harshness... I allowed myself to say that just because I'm sure you are joking. -
Hi John, apologies for replying with a question rather than with an answer, but: are not the BBxxxxxx / PBxxxxxx numbers starting from BB970001 and increasing? I see that OEM marked PB523860... ???

It's nice to see you again fellows

That inverted CG is supposed to be that way. Don't try to invert it, as: there are writings that would end up in the bottom face; if you invert it, the lever could press the crown off-center and this would stress the crown. The only problem with CGs whose lever is pointing down is in case of loose lever. When you wind the watch (lever pushed up), a loose lever keeps falling down and this is a great annoyance on winding. Better to fix the loose lever than to invert the CG.

About PAMs International Guarantee Certificate card
sssurfer replied to sssurfer's topic in General Discussion
Thanks to the one who helped. C'mon, folks, I can't believe you have nothing to add. Did I touch a taboo by chance? BUMP! -
If you don't succeed in finding anything useful, just have some ordinary buckles gold plated. BTW: congrats on your purchase! I'm in love with that watch more and more any day... I think I'll have to jump on it soon...
-
Possibly you got a crown for automatic movements -- it fits caliber 90 stem. For a 6497 you need a caliber 120 crown.

Thanks, fellows! Bug in 212 fixed (thanks, overboosted - eagle eye).
-
I usually tell it is a rep without any problems, but if I am facing anyone who values anyone from the price of his watch (or pants, or car, or girlfriend, or what), and if I can't simply ignore him for any reason, then I happily fool him with no pity nor remorse. He simply deserves it. Ditto.

Since my post containing the previous version of the PAM reference spreadsheet has been moved to the Knowledge Base I am unable to edit it in order to upgrade. So I am now posting here the new version to anyone interested. Upgrades: - Several bugs fixed. - OP numbers revised and much more complete now. - New column for BB numbers added (just started). Edit: Deleted as obsolete. Now replaced by v3.01, available here.

This is a follow-up from another topic where we found unaccuracies in most rep cards from 'our' dealers. This is meant as sort of a census about which writings are actually printed on a genuine PAM International Guarantee Certificate (that plasticized card vaguely resembling of a credit card, usually with blue printings on a gray-and-silver background). Some gen owners gave their infos about, and I did some searches on the net, and it seems that there are essentially 2 types of genuine cards, differing about the inscription in the middle of the card and the small writings on the background: 1) One with no "FIRENZE 1860" (only "OFFICINE PANERAI") in the middle, and with "panerai panerai panerai..." on the background. 2) The other one with "FIRENZE 1860" (right below the big "OFFICINE PANERAI") in the middle, and with "officine panerai officine panerai officine panerai..." on the background. Please would you genuine owners state in this poll which type(s) of card(s) did you get with your gens? Or, even better, post a scan of one of your cards? (even if I am not supposed to pray for that). Also, if you choosed option #3 or #4, please can you specify your details in a post? Really thanks, and apologies for bothering you. This would help us nuts who take in account also the accuracy of cards in judging on whether it is worth to get them...

P.S. hard to tell from the pics whether the case and bezel are polished or else. They should be.
