So, someone is selling a gen 123 on ebay? You may compare it here: I think we find it ugly just because we all get accustomed with the 090 look. Actually it is neither better nor worse than it. Interesting to notice that this is the less expensive way to make a 090 right-handed, you just need to print sort of a mirrored dial and datewheel. I agree that OP could spend a little more effort on it though.
