Wow, 22 lines of clarifications about the Hamptons. Thanks, V & W.
About the kobolds, I only knew them as Magic The Gathering cards...
-
Dial, case, crystal, they all are perfect, congrats!
Personally, I think it's a pity that the movement -- even if an ETA -- is not accurate to the model. Especially on such a good piece under any other respects.
As for the strap, I am sure all other member will suggest you more-or-less brown leather straps, so I'll submit you a black CF instead (on a black face 203, very similar to the fiddy):

What is the Hamptons, kruzer?
About the Ferrari: I guess they have been a flop. I think I have a decent taste and I would not wear one. To have one in my collection, maybe -- but to wear it, definitely not.

Here is one I got for wifey some time ago and it looked very good:

I was joking, I just thought it was a bit mean to leave feedback saying you highly rate Tony, but then post here that you'd only consider CQout as a last resort. Given the state of deals I've seen others complain about on the forums from the 'trusted collectors', and because I don't care about 100% accuracy, because I don't want to try and pass the watches off as genuine, I'd rather stick with CQout. At least I know if there's a problem, there are structures in place to correct the issue. All there is here, is support from the other posters, which, in terms of actually making the dealer make right on a deal, doesn't actually have any effect at all...
Got the point, and I see your reasons.
Just, when I recommend a dealer I'm doing it on an individual basis, not in comparison with other possible dealers. 100% of my transactions with Tony were flawless, therefore I left positive feedbacks for him. Still, his prices are often higher then those of 'our' collectors. And I had first-hand experiences on how great is the after-buy service by Josh, Andrew and Narikaa, so I'll stick to them when the price is about the same (or even just a little higher).
I also have doubts about what protection cqOut gives the buyer. To me, it looks more like just a place to get in contact with the dealers.

Nice and with a good looking movement (a very good dagger swan neck).
But fantasy. A 004 with 2005 dial and movement.
Unable to tell about the CG on the pic.

Congrats, Stephane! In just a few months you have become an asset and an anchorman to this community!
Keep up your great contributions, and stay well!

That one was made on SHTINERAND
I believed it was made in SHITZERLAND...
We should do a group buy of these, even if there is only 1 we can pretend we can get a better deal by all of us putting our money into the hat.Oh my, this is going metaphysical!
May I ask our moderator on whether can I make an auction about it?

Hi SSurfer !
I knew you were italiano, didn't think you lived in Vatican City
Hi Pix!
Me, italiano? Vatican City?!?
Not at all. I hate soccer.
And I'm even an atheist.

I'm bewildered....you would thing having 'SHT' on your buckle would be less valuable....
It's a connoisseurs-only thing... sort of truffle, or fugu...
...
Wow!
Please ask Maria not to rep this buckle... I gave a kidney to get it.
(Btw, Sir N., any news on my items?)
-
I'll take it .... first come first serve????i hear these SHT-Mod Dep buckles are basically invaluable.....$1300 is a total bargain -- let's do it
Yes, it is a steal.
Here is a pic:

Trying to 'hide the shame' of secretly being a CQout buyer?
I hate quoting myself, but I never made any attempts to keep it secret:
I actually got 4 brown dial 203s (and some other items) from Tony and never had any issues. That model is no more available from 'our' collectors and that is the only reason why I did not get it from them.

Do you know the size?
-
Good idea cutting it out but then again there is still a Paneria in line - check it out!
Wow, that's true!
Thanks for pointing it out.

Et quod facet Caecilius in horto?

Reviving this because of some new info.
There is another card that can be found around:
On a first look it looks correct -- but -- can you spot where it is uncorrect?

Look at the rightmost word. It spells 'PANERIA' instead of 'PANERAI'.
Ugh, so another giveout!
But -- wait a moment. What if I cut out part of the border?
Here is the result:
Does it look familiar?
Yes, it is suspiciously similar to those three cards that could have been genuine:
So... buyer beware!

I have a buckle engraved 'SHT-Mod Dep'. It is more than rare: it is unique.
On sale @ $1300.
Paypal accepted, but add 4%.

I exensively check all cqOut dealers on a regular time basis, and I'll stick to our collectors.
I bought (and I will buy again) from cqOut only in two cases:
1 - Items sold out or not available anymore from our collectors.
2 - Items unbelievably cheap.
About the latter ones, often those items unbelievably cheap are also unbelievably bad.
But occasionally it comes out a good deal -- what the heck, we are rep geeks and we are able to make sensate judgements on what is worth and what is not!
Anyway, coeteris paribus, 80% of the items are less expensive from our collecors than from cqOut.

About Panerai cards, be warned that 99.9% come with a misspelled 'certifiDato di garanzia' card.

Don't mess around with Tritium vials (tubes). If you break one, the gas turns to a powder and the rest of it (invisible gas) sticks in the air for a long time ---> dangerous stuff!
Second it. Gaseous tritium would be a nasty thing to deal with.

Nope it is no Fiddy because is hat not the 1950 at the bottom from the dial and it is not 44mm it is 47mm like a fiddy
Well, actually none of the so-called 'mini fiddies' have a fiddy-like text, they are named 'mini fiddy' essentially because of the typical overall look, domed crystal, crown guard, and so... so I was just wondering... should any collectors other than Paul offer a mini fiddy I might consider this watch...
Thanks for your reply!

Do you recommend using masking tape on the dial around the markers on the dial? Does this help in not messing up the dial?
Masking tape won't work. With masking tape you will not be able to precisely follow the markers' edges, and when you pull the tape out it removes some of the border of the lume you applied too, together with the lume on the tape -- unless you precisely cut a fracture line with a sharp blade before removing the tape, but this would make for an added risk to scratch the dial.
In order to protect the markers I got the Micro Mask liquid instead. It is water-based and it is resistant to acetone-based paintings like superluminova. I did not alredy test it, though. The Zigmeister's advice is not to mask the dial and to only rely on hand precision, so I still wonder whether to give Micro Mask a try or not.

Oh, and I who was in hope for some swimsuit shots!
Just kidding, naturally.
Great pics and great watch(es)!

....I bought one of his brown dialed 203 some weeks ago.
He was good in communication....but he is a dropshipper and has zero QC....my 203 came with several issues:
- stem was not streight and the watch winds the total opposite of smooth
- winding is only 10-15 turns possible, it feels like sand between the gears
- both strap screws came stripped....so strap change is only by pushing the screws out (without winding)
- case back was just scewed steel on steel...no rubber gasket or seal!
Asking him to replace he only says...send it back with tracking....HAHA sending back to china from EU is a) risky and
pricey....some of our dealers from the boards offer better deals.
I won
