I have a 6.7'' wrist and 115/75 is the longest I can go.
-
How did you make your search?
-
I agree with your choice. Best luck!

I go with air mail with everything for my watches and it always arrive, I would NOT risk any EMS/UPS methods since they are way more customs risky.
Same here.

I'd rather drop $400-$500 on a kick-ass Seiko Sportura Kinetic than $300+ on a fake watch.
KEEP OUT FROM KINETICS!
I loved them, I got 4 of them, they all died after 4 years.
Then I discovered that the kinetic accumulator is supposed to get replaced every 4 years (3 yrs on lady models).
At about 1/5 of the original price of the whole watch.
So, as also quartz batteries (a few dollars) last 4 years as well, what's the point in getting a kinetic?
-
Nope. Doesn't fit at all. Not 'deep' enough.
I was successful in fitting it on a 029, non-jimmy case.
Did you remove the teflon gasket out of the jimmy bezel?

and why all dealers call them "swiss Unitas"
That is a question one should ask the dealers directly, I have no answer to it.
and we pay more money for this? Here I may guess two answers, they do not exclude each other:
1. The swan neck add-on requires added work by the manufacturer and we pay for that.
2. Because of the offer/demand law.

Polo147ax, JFYI, Silix has a decent 027 @ $80.

Good ol' Jimmyzfu:

It does not fit perfectly on all cases, but a little glue and all will be ok.

Compliments on your minimal investment!

As far as I know yes, the PAM swan neck regulator is a mod performed by OP, it does not come with native ETA movements.
Therefore, all swan neck movements we can see on reps should actually be repped movements and come from Asian factories.
-
Definitely the stem should not came out unless you unscrew a little the screw that keeps it firm.
It seems like that little screw threads went ruined and the screw is always unscrewed (even if it looks as you can only tighten it -- can you tighten it endlessly?).
And yes, that may prevent the stem from properly engaging the keyless work.
I'm afraid it is a tricky issue to fix so to qualify the watch for a replacement from the dealer.
-
Please let us (me) know the outcome of this.
Thanks!
-
That does not look as a PAM-specific issue, and PAM movements are no special.
I would have your friend have a look at the watch before sending it out.
Yes, maybe something went mess with the stem or the keyless work (quite strange though, given the added protection by the PAM crown guard).

Well, some time ago I made quite a bit of search about the discoloring properties of light, and I got quite a bit frustrated.
Looking at the sunlight effects on old newspapers left on the ground one would argue that the light discoloring effect is more effective on blue colors than red colors.
This should discolor black into sort of brown. Or, at least, this was what I was thinking.
Then I found a brown dial on sale and gave up with the whole thing.
-
Maybe blood?
-
I tried all sorts of chemical oxidizers, and they all ruined the dial.
I just missed to try very diluted bleach and very diluted H2O2, but I doubt they are safe even when diluted.
I am afraid that only physical means (i.e. prolonged exposure to light) may be safe.
But, as you said, this could take ages (perhaps a little lesser with UV light?).
Oh well, I think I'd better go and place my dial right under this bright sun...

You see the steel. It just happened to me.
But as long as you just don't scratch it, the PVD will last longer than you.

So, for all who are wondering, the cigar smoke in the box trick doesn't work.
Good to know. Thanks for the info.
coffee (thick undrinkably thick)No coffee too thick to drink!

Very nice!
Just, a pic able to capture the gold color of hands would be a nice add-on too.
-
i am wanting to get together a collection of the same dial etc. in different mm sizes..
In this case a 050 and a 104 would make for a good starting point.

First of all, thanks lanikai for your consideration, but there are members here who know much much more than me on PAMs.
As for Davidsen 029/063:
yes, it maybe (always difficult to judge color nuances from internet pics) that DSN's lume color is a bit too accented on green, especially that on numerals and indices (not on hands).
Not a great issue, though, as 029 was made in 1998 and 1999, and 063 in 2000. After 7-9 years even a gen owner may want to have his gen relumed -- what may naturally change the lume nuance.
This is especially true for the 029, that was lumed with Tritium and therefore its glow is supposed to decrease along years more than superluminova.
Rather, what actually makes me wonder about DSN's 029 and 063 is that on his pics one can clearly see that the hands lume is different (whiter) than the dial lume (greener).
I have to suppose this is intentional.
But I have actually been unable to find any genuine 029 or 063 pics showing that difference between hands and dial lume.
Naturally my unability in finding them does not mean that such a difference is unaccurate.
I hope any real GMT experts (not me) may chime in and give their advice.

Do you keep your watch on during sex?
Yes, but not on my wrist...
(folks, I am a true watch lover!)
Out of joke: no.
-
now waiting if one of the dealers picks this up. I mailed one of them...
Very interesting!
Should you have any news from the dealer about this subject please let me know. The 104 is one of my most favourite models.
