I can confirm. Lello tried and succeeded. Just heat (a flame) and the three pieces - the two crystal layers and the cyclops - came apart. Then, quite a bit of glue and some attention not to get air bubbles between the two layers while reassembling. I think I'm going to try the same on the next few days...

Apologies for my English, I was meaning 'inexpensive' rather than 'cheap'. Bob's inexpensive straps sold on eBay are inexpensive exactly because they are thin, not because of poor quality. Quality is not amazing, but not bad either. Quite fair quality for the price. I got a Bob inexpensive shark strap and got disappointed because I love thick straps, but as you like thin straps maybe they are worth a look.
