You keep your watches.. if you can sell them for a bit of extra cash if need be go ahead in the trade section.. if any of them belonged to relatives... keep them. this Noob Mariner needs an insert.. cheap on the bay.. you may have to mod it to fit though.. it could use a better crystal .. I may have a Clarks dunno if it will fit though.. other than that she just needs a bit of TLC.. polishing up and oiling the bracelet links .. and your good to go.. this way everythime you look at the Sub .. remember RWG.. not me.. Thank you All.. the second hand "sweeps" should be an eta engine.. Josh always send the eta if available. the clasp works well on mine.. J .. yours may need some tweaking..? .. mine is not spring loaded however it snaps on and off easily and doesn't work itself loose.. maybe your edges need a bit of filing.. Thank you Stephane I actually did not do the dial justice on this one.. I gotta take some shots outside.. the dial looks white at times and at night with a lamp, is very silver.. great job in that respect..I wasn't a big fan of the fluted bezel until now.. it wears brilliantly.. I think a lot has to do with the jubilee bracelet.. I have enough room in the bracelet to fit my pinky under my wrist and the bracelet.. yet it does not move when I shake my wrist... very nice balance and feel to it..the bracelet is not cheaply made like some in the past..it's very good quality. Nikon for me 60mm Nikor Marco and 105mm Sima Marco lens... manual focus for the macs I like to utilize the natural light for effect, I've gotten away from studio lighting and hot box set up.. and just use different objects to block light at times.. technique ?? dunno .. just go by feel, some dials are more fun than others.. it's gotten more than just shooting pics for me.. it's another hobby born out of my watch hobby ..the macro lens adds more depth of field than the regular lens .. so the macro lens stays on my camera most of the time.. It's done everyday here A. go to the trade section.. and post your wares.. or better yet.. sign up for "Supporter" status. 30 usd per year (it goes toward our monthly usage fees) it equates to about 8 cents a day.. well worth it since you are using the board as a venue for trading .. it's a fair "trade" ..imo.. and you will be allowed to enter the supporters area where more of these trades take place..post pics and detailed description of your "WTT" (want to trade) intentions and see what happens.. good luck AC Lani

you can apply it to the brushed surface also,.. it will not do anything but brighten the brushed surface.. it will not harm the finish.. actually it will improve the finish.. the residue from the cape cod cloth may cause skin irritation.. so "after" you polish.. rinse the area directly in contact with your skin before putting it on.. the cape cod cloth will start turning black as you apply it to the surface your polishing.. this is just the oxidation from the metal rubbing off. no worries.. as the metal shines less "black" residue will appear on the cloth... then wipe with a soft dry cloth to "shine the metal".. get all the polish off or it will dry to a white paste.. I use a toothbrush for hard to get at cracks to remove the polish.. I also use a toothpick next to the crystal to remove any polish. AC Lani
