Now that I have the gen Oyster bracelet on my 9411 .. I haven't gotten it off my wrist since yesterday.. going for the record same watch in a 24 hour cycle???? one in a row..

Reminds me I needs me more boxes too.. I like the travel case by Turtle... convenient .. you can carry one in the car for those OCD momemnts..

R.. their just glued in... if it's on a tab you can remove just plop the tab in some thinner or acetone..I use a toothpick or throw away screw driver to remove the pearls without solvent .. they are not epoxied in .. they use rubber cement.. in the case of Rolex and others you can just pop it out by pushing the back of the pearl. It seems ironic in someways .. and I actually laughed about it on opening the parcel the other day.. the vintage Omega Seamaster I won on the bay ... was not the same watch that was shipped to me.. Yup.. replication,.. fake .. not genuine.. so I took it with a grain of salt and emailed the seller.. last night.. I was in no rush.. I offered to give him the benefit of the doubt and told him I wanted to keep this off any formal channels.. because the watch was obviously not a genuine.. I got a nasty email back at 5am via my blackberry.. I'm usually up anyway communicating with customers and workers on the Windward side of the island.. so I replied that I was giving him the opportunity to keep his account on ebay.. He replied that he would refund my money after a whole lot of insults.. the best was I didn't know what I was talking about.. I laughed at the thought of telling him I buy reps on a daily basis.. but I just told him that he just decided for himself that the matter is now in the hands of PP.. Called PP immediately after.. I like to actually talk to the voice rather than email.. I'm guaranteed my money either way so I'm not overly concerned about that end of it.. some people just don't realize when to humble themselves.. .. so on to the next rep AC Lani

Got mine off the bay holds about 15 watches in a travel style brief case.. around 30 usd on the bay.. "turtle" something it was.. just check out ebay.. they have all varieties .. nice wooden glass display's to inexpensive travel cases.. AC Lani

hit your end buton to take you all that long way... have we become so sedentary in front of the computer screen so our fingers feel like they are walking miles..actually I'm asking myself that as I find it a long way to.. so this has got me thinking .. we are as a society getting way to lazy.. all I do is hit the "end" button and I'm there in hyper warp.. hit the home key and I sprint to the top of the page again.. But when we start referring to a web page as a long way down... (this includes myself as much as everyone else).. it's time to rethink ... we need to do some finger sprints.. intervals or something our fingers have gotten fat and lazy.. not to mention our mind sets... I'm no expert.. but you need not remove the bezel.. you do have to remove the crown and the tabs that hold down the movement .. and pop out the crystal.. some of the Pams are tight.. and better to use a crystal press .. one member yers ago slashed himself with a broken crystal.. You will need a crystal press to put in back on.. with the proper tools it is a breeze.. I recommend the screw down press,.. a set of screw drivers.. a ball case back opener and a blower.. should be very inexpensive at "Watch Bitz" I highly suggest you go to, here > Watch Bitz.. in the accessories section and order the basic tools for this..you will not be doing this as a profession so the minimal basics is good to start with..they are at great prices .. and will save you a lot of $$ over the expensive tools.. later you can add as your hobby and knowledge grows. Yes.. thank you.. someday I would like to visit the memorial.. it is strange in some ways.. my Uncles fought for the 442nd in WWII .. Hiroshima was destroyed by that war.. my ancestors clan in the 16th century was destroyed in a battle that involved the Uesugi clan.. a one day war.. it was deceit and betrayal that wiped out the Lord of the clan.. and then the rest were reduced to Ronin and had to become Samurai farmers..the head of the clan was beheaded.. he was loyal for the right reasons.. but destiny from then puts me in Hawaii now.. not a bad place to be.. someday.. I named this particular piece "Ubifranken" for the simple reason that Ubi was instrumental in it's build .. in tribute to a great friend that I am honoured to know. to say this 9411 has a history with RWG is an understatement.. it started with sourcing vintage gen parts...this was not the original dial.. the original dial and hands were sourced at the direction of Ubi's tech counseling..but the hands were worn or damaged, and would not function properly.. I thought at that point it was a valiant effort but not to be realised I had the gen crystal.. crown/tube and movement the case is a MBK 1680 that had a history of it's own..(traveling to Hawaii). Ubi from his collection had a NOS 9411 dial~ minty fresh, and went to the trouble of securing the NOS hands and insert. this 9411 is one of two .. Ubi has it's twin.. same born on date.. the journey was long and full of set backs, (as far as the parts)..and to say that it was coincidence that all this came together by chance is not believing in the support of this community.... out of my collection even the journey with my 1655 .. the 9411 is the one I wear for part of the day everyday... the list: MBK case Genuine~ NOS movement w/silver date wheel, dial, hands, crystal, tube/crown, bezel it goes without saying that the Hi.~Co. connection is alive and well,.. so much so that in the past several months we have been experiencing some of the same occurrences outside of watches,... so thank you all for being here and the support that no other Fora can duplicate.. be it gen. or rep. Received my new addition to my Ubifranken 9411 yesterday.. is it obvious what that part is ?? it really pop's the 9411 and I think with this addition it would look best on a gen. ss bracelet.. the overall look is bigger. Yes.. the genuine bezel is a little bigger in daiameter and really does wonders to look and feel of the 9411 Thanks for viewing.. AC Lani

No problems..some members are looking at other projects.. it what this hobby is about.. after the piece is modded and worn.. some thrive for the next hunt.. and to some, if the watch isn't getting much wrist time it's time to gain working capital. it's really about the next challenge for some.. this goes IMHO as man as hunter... on to the next challenge.. so in part financial and the flip side to that is more challenge with new "projects", it never ends really AC Lani

Order a bezel insert for a 11680 form Nostalgia on the bay.. Clarks insert for about 12 usd.. looks more like the genuine than the rep pearl..jut pop it off and glue it to your insert..careful.. I've lost more pearls with them bouncing around.. AC Lani
