My wrist are between 7 and 7 1/2" depending on the time of year and diet..

even on smaller wrist it looks fine..

remember it is a "Tool" watch and constructed as one..

AHHHHHH! this is getting out of hand.. I thought that when I clicked on 'upgrade membership' and saw price for vip $30 and platinumb $70 i never noticed that it didn't say "price" but "BALANCE TO PAY"!!

So now i'm really confused. I don't have an abacus and suck at counting. There's no reason for me to have bought those other tickets.... since i originally thought i was getting the platinum membership with them... Um.. So I just bought 6 more tix. If I'm not platinum now.. then i'm just plain dumb. :bangin:

weather the ICHS or CHS.. IMHO the GMTIIC rep is worth getting..

It's one of those reps that is just hard to get off the wrist..

Funny how "Sales Persons" think everyone is "Stuck on Dumb" .. used car lots.. watches.. what ever the sales item.. I don't care for "pitching".. I'll choose my items a lot of times based on the sales persons attitude or lack of it to be more precise..

Like saying a Ford won't d evaluate much once driven off the lot.

First and foremost IMHO.. if you are looking to by cheap .. and spend the least amount of money.. you will get what you pay for..

if you are looking to spend 100-150 usd .. don't expect much..

Even buying the top of the line SMP.. you will need to spend money on upgrading the crown and tube.

the date wheel needs swapping to an eta dw..

here is my SMP chrono, it is the Ultimate and there were still a lot of mods that needed to be done to get it to standard.

My point being there is nothing wrong with Mary or the watch you bought... for the price.. if you had asked any of us, I think the advise that you would of gotten was that for the price you are paying.. don't expect much.

I bought a couple of SMP's and the one you have is one I donated to raffle...it has a heavy lens effect form the mineral glass and for the price was expected.

If I did not have a dealer that I am comfortable with and have been dealing with for years now.. I would no doubt do biz with Mary..

You can look at about 400 usd after all the mods to have a very good Watch.. if you are looking for quality.. ya gotta pay a little more... IMHO

look at my 5002 Woody.. that is the rep crystal.. wheaton and I have Chiefs AR on the 5004.. yours should be heavily (blue) hued ..

thanks Lani...I won't use any thinner or remover. But, do you think I'll be able to get the insert off of the metal bezel? That glue is strong! I wonder if I'll have to really scrape it off or if it will pop away from the metal

Plus Joshua is taking forever getting my the insert...I still need to send you one...I'm ordering another from Joshua tomorrow...

I'll post pictures tomorrow which are clearer...my wife might be right and I am a nutcase...

I redid my insert a couple of times.. others will say it looks fine because they are not looking at it all the time.. my perspective is .. if "I" don't feel comfortable with it then I'll be the one that has to live with it.

No matter what we all say, your the one that will live with it.

If you order another insert at least you have the corrected 10 until you receive another.. so what if it takes another month to arrive.. at least you can have one available until you decide if you want to swap another... or you may just decide to leave the one you have on now..

the draw back is you'll probably break the one you have on now to remove it.. that gorilla glue is ... needless to say epoxy on steroids, and you will need a throw away 2.00 screw driver to scrape the epoxy off the inner bezel..

So you have a corrected 10 insert and it's not perfect.. is it grossly obvious?.. NO... does it really give away the rep?.. NO.. not as much as the incorrect 10.. so RELAX .. and if you decide to order another.,. no worries if it takes 2 months..

but if your ever going to do it again:

unless your taking it in the water.. this is good to use for many reasons,.. as I explained on the phone.

just as an fyi WnR.. do not attempt to use any acetone or thinner to loosen the epoxy "if" you decide to remove it.. the epoxy will seep down into the bezel and freeze the clicks.. so if you decide to do the insert over you may have to sacrifice the insert when removing it..

the peace of mind in knowing you can correct is gtg for now me thinks..

Eurotimez still takes PP.. but fyi... others take CC or Western Union .. or Moneygram.. I use Moneygram for those that only accept WU.. MG is less costly on the surcharge..

If you are concerned about the safety of the transaction,.. there is no need to worry.. all the dealers here are trustworthy!!

another option is to access a "pre-paid" credit card..

I have been using all forms of payment over the years and have had not problem..

with WU or MG.. you just need to make sure the spelling of the name is exactly correct or the funds will not be released and you will have some footwork to correct it..

Looks good. On the removeal of the insert, has anybody found it useful to heat it up first with a hairdryer or something to soften the glue so you don't damage the insert on removal?

there is no damage to the insert if you remove the pearl first.. the 3M tape does not have epoxy like properties... you could heat it with a hair dryer, but I haven't found the need to.. fyi

In SZ I saw a BP with big date (though crappy date font) and WORKING power reserve!

Not a 3rd per-say.. but the movement has been upgraded and the dw is now flush to the dial.

the fix was done to the 5004 as well
