If you are familiar with the genuine dial.. then you will know the genuine markers are elevated in a way as not to be blocky.. this is a rep dial.. the only way to compensate for that fact is a "relume" what this dial has to offer is a "better" 3.6.9.12 markers than previous reps.. the marcros will also "detail" what the naked eye cannot see... L

the hour markers are "improved" over the past Pilots.. however "improved" may not hold water... it is still the stick on variety but better.. still in need of relume.. but some may choose to leave them alone.. L

another Maker has taken on the Top Gun Ceramic.. and IMO it is improved greatly !! On first glance the crystal may be a sore thumb .... it does appear that they have used old stock as the AR is a bit yellowed . not a problem for chieftang though... the concentric rings have been detailed .. sharper actually.. as has the sub rings on the 12 and 6 .. it morphs more grey in direct lighting.. The pushers are defined better toward the Ti look... improved The casting for the ceramic case is improved also.. with the TG logo sharper and crisper.. The Maker has the case back as ss.. it is I bleieve ti... it's too dark to be anything else.. The most impoved component that is not a part of the case.. the strap is .. on the V2 not needing anything but wear Totally imporoved in the small details of the Watch.. chiefs AR will do wonders.. thanks for Viewing A~C Lani

if you open the case back.. take out the movement and dial.. you will see tiny beads behind each pusher.. sounds like it's jammed with the pusher.. needle.. the 3717 is relatively easy but without experience a watchsmith is needed more than likely..

The Independance day weekend has had parcels sitting ... after being released from Customs since The 3, July.. everythings backed up 2 or 3 day's now..

Actually.. it is a Win ~ Win for both donar and community. You get a "chance" to win a genuine Rolex Vintage.. Yes it is a "loto" of sorts.. but if I could enter.. fluorescent lighting takes a little getting used to as far as white light settings.. and the only way to improve is by trial and error.. more repititions... but you'll have fun in the process... good luck and I'll be looking forward to your images ... A~C Lani

Very informative images RB !! there was a TG that came out roughly 2 years ago that was PVD'd... that may be the V1 people are referring to .. I have that one btw.. and it is in fact PVD... the TG that came out last year as the one in your pics is definately Ceramic. Hopefully the dial and markings around the ceramic case will be much improved on the newest remake. what needs to be kept in perspective..... these are "replications" .. and if you are waiting for a 1:1 ... you really should purchase the genuine.. there is actually the ring around the 12 and 6 sub dials .. they react to light.. I believe the macros I took show that effect. at times they appear black and in the reflective light .. grey.. I was told that the crystal (AR) on the newest version may be weaker.. but I have already had mine redone by chief. Remember this V2 is by a totally different maker the first version was not done up to standards.. so I believe the dealers looked for another maker to redo the TG. A~C Lani

The only way to be sure is .. I will recieve the V2.. which for those who missed the version that came out last year.. 2007.. that was a ss case back.. the 2008 V1 .. I posted this on the other thread.. Sorry guy's I may stand corrected to the correction... the dealers site say's ss.. but I have never seen ss to be as dark as this case back is... it is the same colour as the crown and pushers.. which is definately Ti.. so after looking long and hard I would have to say the case back is in fact Ti.. so.. when I recieve the newest version.. I will determine 100 regarding the case back.. but I have a feeling the V1 maker got the specs mixed up as the V1 2008 version (the last one out) has a Ti case back.. the colour is just to dark to be ss..
