I purchased a pre-owned Doxa.. brand new 5 or 6k I paid a 1/3 of that.. there were more scratches on the bezel.. I polished some of them out.. but you cannot expect a spotless watch unless you want go to the AD and pay full price.. and unless it's a vintage collectible or a LV.. like cars it will depreciate as soon as you walk out the door.. so enjoy your aquisition.. you did get a good buy .. Congrats on both your CD aquisition and your post dak !!!! they in fact do not make the ss bracelet for the CD series.. I myself think IWC wanted to keep it as a divers watch with the rubber strap.. in tribute to the famed Sea Explorer and his ship. the 2006 CD is hands down the best model of the CD line.. it will get more looks than many divers watches.. I love mine.. here are pics to share with you.. it has been fully modded. ETA 7750 swap re-lumed ~ by the master ZM and the sapphire crystal has been re done... AR by chieftang.. it is by far the best AR on the planet.. just invisible with a faint plum hue like the high quality Ulysse Nardin . I'll get some slevin pics up for you with the same mods.. actually a really shitty job of pave cut settings.. called bright cut too... where the metal is carved up from the base metal to set the stones.. very unevenly done here.. would not pass Italian craftmanship..

We have had a very good response to the cam phone wristi thread.. and I know there are many members out there whom can still participate .. You will be surprised at how rewarding it feels to share and contribute in "your " community.. this community is about watches... replicated as well as genuine... and for me I cannot share my joy and passion with the same understanding and enthusiasm as I can here !! We are an underground hobby.. (so to speak) .. but to share your timepiece anywhere else may not get you the same welcome you get on the rep forums.. so if members would like to discuss bettering their images b16 and ammandel have readied some "how to" .. but I have asked them to KISS no,.. not that way.... "keep it simple" .. and jus give us the plain 101 version for now.. members.. ask questions.. and let's see more wristis and share your new aquisitions here wiht use.. with or without expenmsive camera equipment.. you can be an important part of your community.. As little as I know about camera lenses,.. I believe the phone camera (lens) is made to take vibration and movement. to this end members such as b16 and ammandel use photo managers to 'redevelop' their images.. maybe we can ask them to do "one" such tutorial thread for now ,.. and in keeping it very simple for the time being. just concentrate on the "focus' aspect.. or maybe focus and coulour.. saving the heavy stuff for later. there are many members who have at least camera phones.. that we would like to see involved in the wristis.. since "All" members are an important part of this community and the energy in shaing your reps or genuines here is bar none, the most rewarding.
