ahhh... I think RWG as a whole called that one Dave.... every Breitling rep was reviewed by someone here.. so it was quite obvious that 2008 was the year for Breitling reps ! It's like the barn being painted red... everyone knows it's red so no one really has to "Call it" ... cause we already know it.. btw.. how many Breitlings did you review ??

The same dial in the shade ~ very different appearance..

thanks mp.. I forgot to list that.. it is the V4 .. now all I need is a correct D. window I'll add the V4 to my post. A~C Lani

Everyday between mid morning and high noon when the sun is at it's apex, I see my DSSD dial dark grey and not black.. matte and not glossy.. some say that on the genuine forums it is mentioned that the DSSD dial is Dark grey.. first of all .. the colour black comes with many different tints.. red.. brown.. if there are no red or brown tints the black would appear dark grey in direct light (natural sunlight).. black is NOT just black.. in other words there are many different shades of black.. this is directly due to the tints that are added to each different black. it has been a thorn in my side.. I don't travel with my camera.. so today (my day off from the gym) I made it a point to be home before high noon.. when the sunlight can enter the sapphire crystal with the least amount of light bouncing off the surface of the crystal and the dial... in other words when the light can enter straight into the dial and exit the same way it entered (to put it in layman's terms) and this is how the dial looks when the least amount of light rays bounces in a hap hazard way all about the dial.. Edit add:.. this is the V4 if the dial was totally matte... it would not reflect the image of the second hand off the crystal.. ergo.. the dial IMO is semi gloss .. not totally gloss nor totally matte.. as the genuine.. so take it for what it's worth.. I didn't want to bring this up until I could have some pics to post.. A~C lani

Hey Col. I should clarify our intent ..... as far as the "term" Super Rep ... I think we can all agree that the "Super Rep" is somewhat of an anomoly .. we have come to use the term rather loosely. I believe what the intent of this "list" is ...... would be to create the best of the best reps and also "good" but not great reps for the price.. as an example the BP 5002 and 5004 are not "great" .. they are good and we have been waiting a long time for a 'decent' BP to be replicated, and for the price it is a very good rep to have on the list. perhaps... "Best of the Best" should be the header and that would be inclusive of price and quality also.. I'm sure the gang here would work well with your Boyz ... as long as we can coordinate and know what each "hand is responsible for" it's something to look forward to... but instead of calling it an interfora.. why not just have your crew register here and we can become "1" for this project instead of 2 seperate entities... however you feel and your crew feels comfortable.. I'm sure we'll team up well together ! Respectfully, Lani

welcome LT.. i would say you are a seasoned Noob.. you have gotten yourself into a value added community .. and a wicked obsession. I have a few pieces that I've collected along the way also,.. what is the most rewarding for me has been this community and the many friends I've made along the way I know you'll enjoy posting and getting to know everyone.. see you on campus LT Aloha~Cheers Lani

Welcome houston !! you have arrived to this community at a great time.. we are enjoying replications that have improved at a fast rate. browse the forum.. and you will see what I mean.. and as far as tech knowledge... members here have much to offer.. @ arminvanbuuren ... the best way to give back would be to upgrade to supporter... if your so inclined.. it equates to mere pennies a day.. Aloha~Cheers Lani

Yes Sir !! did I tell you ... you must be a part of this since you have been here ... *Cough*... awhile... maybe someday .. a extended family pic of my babies.,... Keep it goin MM... L

Andrew is our man for Breitling !! he spent 40 hours once doing a intense detailed review of Breitlings.. that would be essential in using for the list. Ammandel has multi talents as well as a lot of the newer contibuting members.. this is not a project that we can rush.. it should be something that RWG will be proud to pin ! and with the support of members.. maybe we can coax DBR (doc) to add his eloquent verbage .. and Omni ... to name a few of the charter members... this would be after the pics are ready.. I just went back in my files.. some of the pics of the Grahams and Paul P.. and MontB. could be redone.. but we have the images for all of 08 and beyond.. Porsche Flat 6 etc. We hav eso much energy here .. not to use it would be a waste.. suggest we go with our "Home Team" on this one.. looking forward to your quarterbacking this one HA !!! A~C Lani @Carl... I respect your thought.. although I don't fully understand it's point .. but I tend to go with the "doers" that take action and not the "theorist" that talk... peace L

If I may put out some suggestions HA.. Other members that will bring "value added" could be asked to join this "team".. we are stressing team values and more members could be of great vlaue.. plus it's very rewarding to have numerous members involved. we have a lot of vets that could be of greater vlaue too: Andrew for Breitling since 08 was the year of Breitlings. Pugs of course Robbie G. UN and numerous others for Rolex.. You are welcome to use any pics that I have posted.. and if you need others there are members whom have taken shots too.. Phoband... Bazz... Hike .. Robbie.. ammandel... on and on... if you need a pic that is not posted .. just post a "support needed for pics" If we work "together" we could create a detailed list of reps that could benefit the members old and new and the ones yet to join our community.. Let's work together on this.. and make it an RWG ..Best !! anyone interested in being involved.. post your interest.. everyone has "something" to offer !! Aloha~Cheers Lani

if you care to read the reviews of the A7750 28k movement you will find that they are very good movements. However, the disclaimer is that it needs (like all movements) proper servicing to run efficiently. the makers have gotten much better servicing the movements It is a lot of times .. "the luck of the draw" in this hobby.. find a dealer who will address issues after purchase READ the advice that tells you about "hand winding" auto chrono movements.. rep or gen. and how to adjust the day date... very important item. No doubt the ETA 7750 is the movement of choice.. many members source these on ebay and swap the A7750 with the ETA.. With all that said... the A7750 is a good movement if serviced properly. Cheers Lani

Thank you all.. I am very happy with Aarons strap.. it is ultra comfortable.. as the deployment clasp with a stiff strap can take a little getting used to but this strap is so soft it absorbs a lot of the tension off the metal clasp.. I received an update from the owner of the genuine BP 5004 that we used for the review.. I will update the review.. sorry for the delay.. I tore some soft tissue in my left shoulder at the gym and .. without drama.. I'm feeling a little nauseous and my thinking is not to sharp, and I forgot to post this.. .. but here is the update for the dial.. "Update from BP" owner of the genuine BP 5004 used for the team review." a couple quick additions re: the review. first, re: the lume on my 5004, interestingly, the 6:00 marker below the date on my big pilot does NOT have any lume on it the other thing i noticed is that on the rep, the non-numerical markers (ie. 12, 3, 6 & 9) are very much raised....they should be essentially flush with the dial, with a very thin coat of c1 white lume. i think the lume on the hands and the lume on the dial are definitely both c1 -- there is no way the hands are c3 -- unless i'm mistaken, if they had any c3 lume in them, they would be greenish, which isn't the case -- they are pure snow white. i think they just have a much heavier coat of lume on them relative to the thin layer of lume on the dial A~C Lani

Please contact one of the Admin Team ... I will await the word from the Admin Team .. if it's a "GO" then I will pull the trigger on the automated system as scheduled.. I may be dealyed in getting to my LT.. in the morning .. it happens that I tore some soft tissue in my left shoulder.. so I will be moving a little slower at work tonight, thus I may be dealyed a bit. Thank you all for supporting your community and taking ownership for your membership here.. Aloha~Cheers Lani
