it's OK MoP .. this hobby takes time to aquire knowledge and the best way to gain knowledge is through "first hand experience" slow down... pics can be deceiving in that it depends largely on the lens angle ( certain angles can make the font and detail of the item look bigger) when you start your collection and get to view the genuine first hand .. it can be like night and day.. there are some very, very good replications.. but for us to use the term "Super Rep" it has to be something very special.. IMO .. the term has gotten used very loosley in the past year.. Our standards here are high... the good reps are still very appreciated and by no means is anyone being snobbish... but the standards need to be kept at a certain level... standards were high before I got here.. and that is why we gain great knowledge here.. .. because the level for achievment is such.. Congrats TJ !! I need to get the name of the book... it is one of Japans renowned artist.. the book itself is different.. he did tats on the older citizens for free.. the catch was.. they had to "will" their skin to him when they passed.. he would then remove the whole body suit (skin) cure it and stretch it over a opaque mannequin .. the pics are extreme !!

Tat's can have different effects on different peeps... alot of my tats were done years ago by friends in a World Wide MC ... I have always been one to only do my tats for special occasions and by people close to me.. more often than not it's viewed as negative.. or gang related.. so I guess deciding years ago not to do the neck was a good idea.. some of the most brilliant tats I've come across were the ones done in Federal Institutions..

These threads are a constant reminder of the quality of reps getting better and better.. Not too long ago the list wasn't as large as it is today ... we were talking "Top 3" http://www.rwg.cc/members/What-s-Top-3-Picks-t88730.html it really is a testament to where the rep world is headed... if we had started compiling our Super Rep list back then .. oh well,... better late than never.. but we do need to take care of how we define the best of the best otherwise 'Our" standards will diminish Cheers Lani

We"ll check with members whom actually own these in their collection, and are versed in the brand.. rather than going by word of mouth.. we need be careful of what we list as "Super" We aren't collaborating on an encyclopedia.. but a general info for members ... it's best to go by what members versed in the brand and have actually handled the genuine and own the rep .. otherwise we could start corrupting the term "Super Rep" ie. the IWC Ceramic Top Gun is a great looking rep.. but small details (IMO) leave it out of being a Super Rep. .. markers ... AR... Most of us that actually own the Tag Aquaracer have had the Day-date wheel swapped to the genuine eta wheels.. it is noticable upon close inspection and is very bothersome to look at without the genuine eta wheels.. very thin font on the replication. but we'll get the members versed in the brands .. such as Andrew (Breithling) ... as an example. Just make sure your aiming the cyclops at something that will catch it.. you'll hear a "pop" and the mag will fly off the crystal

Nothing that secures the Community is a bad idea... Ok Slash and Rick ... I'll pass this on as I believe the Admin team has been discussing this very issue. as a side.. the pics are taken by the maker.. But I don't believe you need to describe the images with these euphemisms.. regardless. sorry.. but practicing some "Humility" never hurt.. IMO RWG is not about arrogance.. we do what we do and do it as a Community.

Big Time Props to ammandel !! ammandel has designed and created a logo for supporters and Platinum members to wear on their sigs. the logo display's the stregnth of our feelings towards supporting our Community the Pride and Perfection that we as members feel everytime we log on here!!!! I have placed the code for you all to copy and paste on your sig. in the Supporter section it's up to each member to decide weather they would like to display the logo on their sig. Giving credit where it is due.... If somehow we can get a team to collect all the reviews from the different sections and post the links to the pics.. that would be the way to do this .. IMO.. they get lost .. and new members may not even know they exist.. Brainstorming is a good thing.. it leaves questions that are not normally asked... answered.. I cannot speak for anyone .. But I do believe we have only two modders that are proffesionals .. I will not mention usernames as you all know whom I speak of.. it's best to leave the mods to the modders that are "trusted" you would have to go straight to the source .. I don't feel comfortable advertising for them.. and I don't believe we should.. Cheers Lani

both are a must on the list.. But as BC has stated and brought up a very good point it's not only the super reps but also the reps that are known as "good bang for the buck" although with flaws .... a rep that is cool enough to suggest for the price and accuracy.. but not necessarily a super rep. This list will take time to compile as we want to include both must have SR's and the very good reps for Noobs checking out the water .. so to speak.. I'll be putting a crew together soon !!! @Slask... to each his own.. it is by far more rewarding to really get into this hobby .. ergo sooner or later get into movements and a lot of members have taken the TZ course and become very accomplished amatuer horologist .. it's what fits your wants and needs..

I will do a comparison with the V3~V4 sometime this week.. the lume on the V4 is very blue and even.. Gio.....the updated dial and I guess you could call it V5 will be out in about a month~ Cheers

this is a good suggestion bc ! .. and we certainly can take it under advisement.. we'll need a crew ... so we'll start assembling one shortly.. Everyones input is valued no matter Noob or Vet.. it's the only way we can see what's happening in the mind set of all members . sometimes we forget what it's like to start out in this hobby.. and now with the reps being so much more accurate and pricey alternatives are welcomed..
