I don't mean to be "insensitive" to the issue.. but growing up in Hawaii.. it was more normal to have a "patch" in the back as it would be to have a bar on the Lanai .. it has always been a part of the island lifestyle .. at Concerts you didn't know the person next to you but Pakalolo etiquette was to "pass the pakalolo" Those were easier times.. surf and buds ... times have changed

dunno,.. all I heard was something on ESPN as I was entering the gym about UK being more relaxed about this issue.. maybe it had something to do with one of his sponsors or some committee ... it did not state that the pic was taken in UK.. but rather something about their mindset towards it.. edit add: actually, I tried to ignore it yesterday,.. kinda tired of the drama that I thought would evolve from this and the 24/7 "bad press" it would generate.. but I love what the Olympic Committee came out with..

@Mobile1 ... my comments were not meant as anything "Personal" toward you per-say .. the History of the Titanic was around long before the Movie (the latest one) .. would it offend people were you to tell them the tech behind the timepiece.??... I dunno.. but it's something to think about .. it was a tragedy for the ages though. Is the maker of the genuine capitalizing and exploiting the tragedy ? Again, I dunno.. that is something only the person that lay's his money down can decide for himself .. If you feel no karma is broken .. then that is your choice ... this is a point well taken Col. I believe the people that have worn and grown up with the traditional Rolex (let's face it, the design has stayed basically the same for generations.. for good reason) .. it did not need revamping for aesthetics, or any other reason. This may be a design that will grow with the months or years, as Rolex Owners trancend into the younger generation. As Allergydoc points out well ... when this first appeared members adamently disliked the "look".. those same members are wearing it today.. .. so I guess the moral of the story is.... Never say Never...

Even if this (made in very Bad Taste) genuine is repped.. I would not even view it. My gut reaction is that something of this nature in History should not be glamourized in any way shape or (watch) form. Think about the Ship itself being the final resting place for lost souls.. that is just my thought .. but what ever rocks your World... I just rather not wonder why a watch such as this would be inviting.. Genuine or Rep.
