The choice you have in that the Carbon Chrono is very well coated and a awesome "looker" if you can live with the sunken DW ... I will state that the depth appears deeper in person.. so no one is disappointed.. conversely the BR02 SS non chrono in straight on light does not seem sunken at all You would have to get very close up.. with the macro to see any deviation .. and the lighting would need to be perfectly angled An extreme angle.. it's pretty deep.. At another shorter look.. this image illustrates how deep the Wheel is.. In conclusion.. sheesh .. the pvd chrono is so well built in regards to the pvd coating and everything else aesthetically, if you can accept the sunken window.. because it is what it is ... you may consider it a major flaw.. or, the rep is so good that it will not be really noticed by anyone that does not own a BR themselves.. for what it's worth I had planned on getting the "Pro Dial" pvd.. I am not a fan of the SS Pro dial.. but the pvd version really makes the dial rather rugged looking.. Hope that helps DT... what ever you decide B .. I haven't seen him around though.. there are other members whom I can pull out of hibernation.. @Nanuq ... your native tongue sounds easily like Native American tribes.. must of migrated up north for the cool climate.. Wow very well stated Charlieuk !! eloquence is a gift of sorts.. it is in abundance here.. Yeah Robbie.. I cannot help myself .. everytime this guy starts talking loudly about gyms.. ( he used to come into Gold's .. walk arond .. socialize.. about once a month) .. I also say very loudly.. "well, you only frequent the gym once a month to talk story" .. he usually turns red and leaves...... my "dark side" comes out in full force

Hindsight being 20/20 .. I will post pics of the 2 BR's I purchased and what my thoughts are now that I have bought them .. this may help you decide.. I'll get the pics up later today It's alway's easieer to decide after you've already bought them..

Thank you all for the insight and wisdom.. !! there were many enlightening comments .. the issue is definitely not about the $$$ .. I don't feel any "buyer's remorse".. granted the timepiece will appreciate over time .. And this is a purchase I've wanted to make for a long time.. with the amount we spend on reps.. sheesh.. genuines are not far behind as far as cost. .. but that's not it.. there are a couple of acquaintances I see every morning at the coffee bistro .. and by my observation, are really into 'prestige" watches ... cars .. and are really obvious as to having people "see" what they have on .. so much so that they try to "slip" what they are wearing or driving into each conversation.. I've tried to explain to one the fascination I have with the history behind the vintage Rolex .. but it goes over his head.. all that he is concerned about is the "prestige" of wearing his 10 year old Breitling .. .. same flavour for 10 years.. poor guy.. .. and as a side .. this morning he asks very condisendingly ,.. "oh, is that a old Rolex you have on..?" ..lifting up his wrist as he speaks.. to which , I replied.. "yeah it's old.. but worth more than your watch whose stem is ready to fall off".. gave me a hard on to get to say that .. Now a watch (by the root word) is something to wear to tell time ... How I think of this hobby is a little different from "telling time" .. its like having a part of history with the .. replica's, or like model building and funny I'm wearing the exp. this morning not even concious of having people see what is on my wrist, doesn't feel any different from wearing a modded rep... so I think I can safely say that be it genuine or rep. it's for my satisfaction .. maybe I carry myself with more confidence.. who knows .. Nor am I whinning.. I'm very happy to have made the purchase .. and gotten the deal !! it's just made me realize how much more I appreciate this hobby and why it feels so good to do the leg work to source and then have the privelege of having Ziggy do his artful lume.. etc. so with all that said.. On to the next Franken Rep .. sheesh this may have opened the Pandora's box to spending more on genuine dials and movements.. btw.. I would like to post this in GD to share receiving my first genuine and the feelings I have with this timepiece and my reps. Well, my first genuine Rolex Timepiece arrived by UPS today. Of course I was thrilled (to say the least) and couldn't wait to open the parcel and spend the day savouring the watch.. It is everything I visioned it to be ~ The movement feels precision ed !! the dial is perfect .. everything is without flaw.. the weight.. the bracelet.. awesome,.. it's everything I dreamed of in my first Rolex,.. vintage (circa 200-2002) with lug holes more raised markers.. Pics were a breeze to take no flaws.. So what's missing ??????????????????? As I sat in my lounger and brought out a Cohiba sig VI (aged).. to celebrate my acquisition.. I was wondering if I really wanted to post the macro's I put the cigar back in my humidor.. and sat for a while .. then SNAP ... it hit me.. why I was feeling kinda "empty".. now don't get me wrong.. this 16570 is great !! and it was literally a steal.. a "God Shot" if you believe in that But I bought it .. received it...but,... that's all she wrote..!!!! The difference you ask .. ?? I did it without the members sharing in the timepiece.. as far as ... discussing if it will be correct.. everyone anticipating the release..sharing time to shoot macro's so members can decide to get it or not.. the excitement of the forum waiting for theirs to arrive.. the joy of posting pics ...everyone one at a time.. the "congrats!!" by all of us to the most recent arrival.. This is what was missing BIG TIME !! .. it feels kinda empty.. kinda like ..... mental masurbation When I wear the "Yellow "Submarine" that was named by "Cool fire" .. I remember the day that he Christened the watch.. I have a snowflake Tudor with Ziggy.. who is going beyond what he should do to make my dream come true.. the movement came from Ubi... I was directed to the dial and hands by UBI ... and the crystal by UBI.... the case came from Chris .... I was going to have the dial relumed by Ziggy.. whom advised that the genuine dial had such a beautiful patina that I should consider leaving it as is.. knowing that by reluming it would be to his benefit.. but advised me as only a true perfectionist and caring member would.. I think I will actually treasure the Tudor snowflake much more ... the difference is in waiting for a piece returning from Ziggy ... which, parts had to be sourced.. following members, whose inspiration.. Tribal.. Jojo.. Freddy.. DL .. Stephane .. and of course the MAN.. UBI... and laz.. and so many others whom I'll feel bad for not mentioning.. oh .. Robbie .. cannot forget the bruddah !!.. and Omni our Own from Hawaii .. Elder Statesman.. for his guidance.. Bazz for his tips on Photo's.. Phoband .. our gremlin... and of course.. TMG.. cannot forget you ma brotha IN other words.. what was missing was the members who make this forum what it is.. giving.. sharing knowledge.. Now I really realize why I love this forum (not like I didn't) but it just reinforces the "feelings" of pure "togetherness".. we fight like Brothers at times.. some more than others I Love this place and it's members.. I'll keep the genuine..(I'm not stuck on dumb) .. but it took getting what I thought I always wanted to make me realize it's been here all along !!!!! I didn't have to look anywhere else... the movement should be as listed, the A7750 28k .. it is lso stated that it has a working regulator .. so I will open the case back for pics.. I dont know if it is a modded movement .. someone can comment later once I get pics posted (sec. @3) btw... the lume is great for rep standard..

America needs desperately to believe in some form of Goveernment that will give us HOPE .. I myself am enjoying the day that has brought change to our Country .. I am filled with Pride to see Hawaii represented in the Presidential Parade .. and enlightened to see a First Family whose roots are not in the "Blue Bloods" of the rich and famous.. kids who act like any other families kids.. What ever happens in the History of the future I for one will remember this day vividly .. America just got a Morale boost .. for the first time in a long time !! for me, today stands for HOPE ... what else is there to ask for in this day and age..

BR02 94 Carbon Chrono

Just some fast pics of the BR02 94 Carbon Chronograph I have not been able to copy a pic of the genuine.. none of the sites are allowing me to I will say the PVD coat is excellent on the rep.. the description from the maker say's the rep is brushed.. it is not.. it appears to be bead blasted (fine) and it is matte .. although light does reflect slightly off the coat. The Maker has really got the BR reps popping !! this line is on a roll IMO... I had doubts in regards to the coat when it read "brushed" but am very happy with the real results in the repped BR02 94 Carbon Chrono !! The Rep measures 44 mm as the genuine model ... the inner bezel turns in both directions using the pusher @10 .. seconds @3 and your usual chrono pushers.. Sub dials are not lumed .. the markers and numerals + hands are very good (rep wise) I would say better than the SS non chrono model which has to be re-lumed to blue C1 anyway. Sub dials have outer concentric rings, smooth on the inner sub ... crystal is thick with double AR .. I cannot tell if the DW is sunken more than the genuine.. actually I have to take a macro of the DW.. I forgot to image the font. The rubber strap is ultra comfortable .. the rest is SOP compared to the SS non chrono.. Congrats to the Maker .. great job on the BR's this has to be the HBB dude's for those of you with significant others... who use my name in vain.. it's cool.. you can point the finger at me if it helps you get another rep... Be sure to rinse the bracelet with warm water and mild soap.. if worn with residue on the bracelet, you may be susceptible to a nasty rash .. as the cape cod has solvents in the polish... trust me on this one..
