  1. The Breitling Web site lists SS also.. edit add:.. the Web Site has it listed as steel case.. the slate grey dial was their first one .. since they have added to the dial colours ~ http://www.breitling.com/en/#/models/aerom...venger-seawolf/ Breitling has taken out most of their tech data .. it used to be much more informative.. about 2 years ago I think..it was removed
  2. I put some gasket silicone lube on the threads.. it was a little rough.. it's fine noe.. yup, the case back is thick and heavy .,. and check out the added lip on the inside.. @ Andrew .. as alway's thank you A !! edit add:.. the Ar is very light .. wondering if the genuine is this light .. it would appear that it is single.. the outside of the crystal is AR'd..
  3. Comparing the ASW .. SS bracelet and the Divers strap.. guess which one I favour .. So have ya guessed which I favour for the dial colour ?? Thanks for viewing L
  4. Ya really need the macro lens Pho .. with your photo skills it's "must get" @Urabus.. thank you sir !! .. I cannot find the shot I took of the inside of the case back .. I swear that it is partly TI.. the case back btw.. is very thick..
  5. This Macro pictorial will be just that.. a Pictorial.. no words need be written ... except.. this Pictorial is for "You, Phoband" may your New Year bring everything you desire .. good health and luck.. for this I will wish for you..and to the member that mentored me this weekend ,.. as I stand by my words of wanting to "Improve" at whatever I endevor .. thank you for the "Coaching" and I will stay "Coachable" Thanks in advance for viewing.. I hope you enjoy viewing the ....... Breitling Avenger Seawolf "Yellow Submarine" Named ~ aptly by Coolfire THE END I will do the strap comparison of Divers and Steel on a seperate thread.. this one is long enough Thank you for viewing Aloha Lani
  6. opposites attract is the law of nature,.. I miss the snow (visually) .. I wish the temputure in Hawaii could stay like it is now, with a nice north wind.. feels like air conditioning outside.,.. perfect .. at least here we don't spend a lot on sesonal clothing .. the closest I get to snow here is eating "shave ice" with ice cream on the bottom and fresh fruit on top.. .. and thank you ..
  7. Avenger Seawolf .. "Yellow Submarine" ala CF ~
  8. Congrats !! great images.. and great looking timepiece.. Live Strong and Wear it Well !! Aloha Lani
  9. I agree Pho.. the hue of the AR does add depth to the dial .. this is definastely a fun and easy piece to imaged.. with all the different colours and dimensions on the dial it makes it fun I'm sure you can make the most bland piece look like a masterpiece with your images ..!! Ya had ta look huh ? >> like a moth drawn to fire ... the colours are dazzling RM. .. what's not to like ? .. go ahead be a risk taker ..
  10. Thank you Z But keeping in line with my philosophy of staying "coachable".. I have a member who IMO stay's .. "quiet but effective" coaching me to improve, so the next macro pictorial will tell how well I can follow direction.. it's all about improving.. and I am excited to learn more..
  11. I see what your saying about the ISO SWEEEET ! Saturday...
  12. thank you J I wasn't going to aquire this one as the makers pics didn't look that inviting but I trust my dealer .. glad I got it !! This is from Joshua.. Perfect clones .. fyi .. the black/red is the most accurate dial .. so say those, in the know in China
  13. Thank you guy's.. often times dials look different in the bright Sun.. but the UN actually looks great !! IMO.. it is free of dust.. Seriously the dial changes in shade and sun.. so whoever has handled the genuine.. ???
  14. Thought you may want to see what the UN MC looks like in full on sunlight.. does the dial "Sing" ..?? Practically direct afternoon sunlight .. the dial looks matte in the shade but in direct light.. it takes on a different look ..anyone that handled the genuine care to comment ? slightly different angle I found natures own "light box" .. my mango tree is filtering the sunlight .. into soft light. Thanks for viewing Lani ~ edit add: sorry I posted this in the wrong section... if it needs to be moved .. please do so ...
  15. Good to See U BT ! Got the 1655 back on.. with an added Ziggy lumed shot.. lovin the detail of the lume
  16. I'm starting to forget what this thread was about... .. OH yeah, UN something..
  17. There was too much light and the lume was not charged when I took the pics (yesterday).. this is a 1/4 sec. exposure.. .. this may be the weak link the lume glows bright but only for a very, very short time.. either that or it needs more time out of the box in daylight to charge..
  18. It was actually this forum that got me started with the camera,.. seeing Bazz's .. Pugs ... BT's ... but too much digital manipulation IMO makes the pic look surreal.. but everyone has their own preference.. like we do with watches.. and then you have the artistic shooters... freddy has the most amazing style and imagination .. But thanks for the words of encouragement..
  19. Here is the pic that shows the sunken date wheel from a macro side view, very noticable sunken date wheel But when looking at the date wheel straight on it would appear on a glance that it is not sunken as Fransico noted.. this seems to be due to the sanwiched mag, if looking at a slight angle through the mag the sunken date wheel is a little noticable,... but you would really have to "work" at seeing it that way.. and with certain lighting.. As I say,.. better "lucky than good"
  20. Ulysse Nardin Marine Chrono
  21. This is the best "Point" ETA's were manufactured in China .. I read in the "Swiss Federation" Laws that for an ETA to claim it is Swiss, it has to be serviced by a "Certified Swiss technician" .. I cannot remember if the Swiss Governmnt was responsible for the certifications .. Regardless, .. has this law ever really been true ? .. or were Brands just using the movements as we are today .. after they were manufactured in China ? Put me down for +1 with Tribals vote..
  22. Thanks for all the info Pho !! that would be great to enhance and clean up the image.. although I think for the purposes of a macro review.. it may be more informative to get it as "real" to what I see.. (although I don't see as well as the macro lens).. if I take away all reflections etc. it would not be "true" to what members see also.. But it would be fun for just pics as pics.. Have fun with your DSL.. maybe it's time for me to read something, even the book that the Camera came with.. thank you all for your encouragements !!
  23. it is sunken.. but with the round date window and mag , it is very hard to tell, I had to use a loupe.. We definately have different taste in 2009..
  24. no .. the adjustments are soley at the clasp end .. so regardless you will end up wearing it too .. tight if your not careful of the cutting of the strap, if your like me "inbetween" sizes.. better to go a little loose.. it will not affect the fit.... choose wisely
  25. 10-4 .. copy all... I will resist ...
