A couple of years ago I saw the most awesome strap on a 3717,.. first time I saw either the 3717 Pilot or the strap.. the strap turned out to be a HK Tan... so I attribute getting hooked on Aarons straps to Euno .. he was the first I saw with that combo .. and it was breath takingly AWESOME !! Still got that image Euno.. I'd love ta see it again

Aaron's straps are REAL !! No, no special priveleges.. I never ask for any of my Asian Movements except the A7750 to be serviced .. I cannot see the reasoning behind servicing a movement that can be easily replaced.. So I have stayed in sync with Ziggy's policy .. Don't feel to bad Euno.. I ordered before the member with the genuine posted the thread.. and btw the pics are of the hands that are on the rep... unfortunately the 5004 has wider hands.. we'll see as mine is sitting in the mail office.. but I am not highly motivated to pick it up .. @robertk... thank you sir !! I am never dissapointed with Aarons work..

I agree with b16a2 who agrees with Jake who agrees with Delta who agrees with me only because delta got me the genuine lume shot that I sent along with my 5002 to the Great North to the Den of the Ziggmeister for a relume and should be coming home ... all in good time.. And I also agree with DT on the strap issue to which here are some pics from a thread I posted after recieving the OEM spec strap from Aaron.. Aaron comes through in record time I love the distressed OEM colour buffalo !!! it really makes the BP sing.. IMO anyway.. Please excuse the rush in pics (as is evident with the dust and DW).. but I had no time to set up lights etc. and had a small window for the natural lighting.. Aaron built this with OEM specs for the deployment and lugs.. so needless to say the Rep is spot on as far as measurements, since I didn't give Aaron any measurements, for the lugs and deployment clasp.. I did however work out with Aaron the legnth since the OEM legnth was a bit to long for my wrist.. so if your wrist size is 7 to 7.5" ask Aaron for the same legnth as he made for Randy..I had used the straps for the 3717 previously so this was adjusted per the case size and my wrist size.. my current vote goes to the current 5002 version with non working PR.. for dial accuracy.. the 5004 that was just released has incorrect hands.. the maker failed to research the 5004 hands and thought all BP hands were the same. what good is a working PR when the rest of the dial is inaccurate..

Conversely.. some of the Macros I take of my MBW's show the red and brown pigment since the colour is so magnified.. you can see 'into" the paint.. I think freddy asked how I got it to look like that once.. the brown and red are in the paint .. but cannot be seen outside the macro's edit add:.. what that say's is they use different paints at different times..

if fading it in anyway.. weather with chemicals or uv.. it would really depend on the mirade of different shades of black.. there are literally dozens of black colours depending on how much brown was used.. some blacks have much more brown or red and some very little if any.. in the mixtures.. so without knowing the "mix" of the black used.. (to do this you would have to know the maufacturer of the paint and the shade charts they use) or it could be just a crap shoot.. in other words you could fade it and still end up with a faded black instead of the chocolate shade of black custom ordering a certain shade of black would do it.. Black is not just Black.. .. just my experience with paints..

But What About Customs ? Better to know how they ROLL before ordering.. it saves some stress For our newer members (Conus) who are contemplating ordering a rep. but are worried about Customs issues as it is "illegal" to sell or buy Replications. I hope this little guide of what to expect and what not to expect, will help ease your mind when you are contemplating ordering your first rep .. as visions of Customs Agents knocking on your door dance in your head . I will itemize the tracking info so you will understand what is going on with your tracking info ~ 1. You will receive a "Tracking Number" from your Dealer it may be a variation of Alpha's , they have no bearing on your parcel other than a way to keep records of the printing of the Express invoices .. since they are printed in Batches EA EB EH So, your # may look something like this .. EB 55 555 555 CN (CN for China) After you receive your # it usually takes 2 to 3 day's for anything to be posted .. the sender may have a hundred such invoices , so nothing will be posted until after the bar code has been scanned at the local PO. So if you rush to see your tracking the day you receive your Tracking # . you may see this message when you attempt to see where your parcel is. Label/Receipt Number: EB55 5555 555C N There is no record of this item. Why Are You Receiving This Message? 1. Event information may not be available if your item was mailed recently. Please try again later. 2. The number was entered incorrectly. Negative .. no Customs fees... somethings you should be aware of since this sounds like the first time your recieving a rep.. do not contact Customs for ANY REASON ... When tracking you can use the USPS web site as soon as it is posted as Foreign Acceptance on the EMS China site.. it should be on the USPS site also It takes about three day's after you recieve your tracking number for it to be posted and the proper documentation gathered in China.. After it leaves China and is "Inbound into Customs".. all this means is it is going through the NORMAL process of Customs procedures.. It in no way implies that your parcel was seized.. so don't stress.. it will soon read "Inbounds out of Customs" If there is a delay.. (once in a while it happens.. it is because Customs is backlogged with parcels) ... Dont Stress You are in Texas .. far inland without any Military Ports so Customs in Texas is really great.. I know from experience .. I have other items shipped there for just that reason.. Here is a typical example of the tracking info ... the customs which I coloured is what you want to see.. so .. "Inounds.. means it's going into the SOP process.. that's all This was during the Holiday's so notice how long it took.. normally it will not take this long.. The genuine as in the review has a high point to the emblem .. the rep is definately not 1:1 with the genuine.. this is normally the issue with the rep crowns.... the rep crown is about 9 mm.... I have not seen this crown in the genuine and I don't know what the genuine size is. edit add: My bezel insert is riding lower than the crystal on the 9 o'lclock side of the watch.. this may be in part the issue with the crystal appearing flatter than the gen. the crystal may have been set improperly as the 3 side of the crystal is sitting above the bezel as the genuine is, but the 9 side is below the bezel.. I'm not sure if there is a gasket in place and if that has been comprimised.. but I am curious to see if reseting the crystal ans changing the bezel will help.. it may be the bezel is bent a little... one can hope.. ... who say's we are OC ..
