Hi All, Received my HK Tan Black waterproof leather strap with red stitch .. here are some quick pics.. Aaron asked for measurements ... I requested OEM.. so the buckle fits perfectly as do the lugs.. It is amazingly lite ... and really comfortable ! I took different angles with various natural lighting.. Thanks for viewing.. Aloha L

the bezel morphs with the lighting .. supposedly as the genuine.. archie.. is one of the few members who have handled the genuine .. as he pointed out the lower domed crystal I purposely "lite up" the bezel to show this feature.. it has a glass like finish..

I am not Religious nor trying to bring in a Religious topic.. but every Holiday Season this Christmas Hymn Rocks me and at times can get me choked up when sung in a Choir .. with the power of a 100 voices ... What started out as a request for a Poem ... The verse ... "Fall on your Knees..." humbles me and sheds all ego that Man is the begging and the end.... when actually IMO we should be here to help one another .. what other purpose besides buying watches would there be.. "The testament of a Man is not what he has .... but rather how he afffects others around him as the legacy he leaves behind.." I would like to say that is my thought.. but it must have been coined by someone long ago.. O Holy Night Lyrics The words and lyrics of the old carol 'O Holy Night' were written by Placide Cappeau de Roquemaure in 1847. Cappeau was a wine seller by trade but was asked by the parish priest to write a poem for Christmas. He obliged and wrote the beautiful words of the hymn. He then realised that it should have music to accompany the words and he approached his friend Adolphe Charles Adams(1803-1856). He agreed and the music for the poem was therefore composed by Adolphe Charles Adams. Adolphe had attended the Paris conservatoire and forged a brilliant career as a composer. It was translated into English by John Sullivan Dwight (1812-1893). O Holy Night Lyrics Christmas Carol Lyrics O Holy Night! The stars are brightly shining, It is the night of the dear Saviour's birth. Long lay the world in sin and error pining. Till He appeared and the Spirit felt its worth. A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices, For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn. Fall on your knees! Oh, hear the angel voices! O night divine, the night when Christ was born; O night, O Holy Night , O night divine! O night, O Holy Night , O night divine! Led by the light of faith serenely beaming, With glowing hearts by His cradle we stand. O'er the world a star is sweetly gleaming, Now come the wisemen from out of the Orient land. The King of kings lay thus lowly manger; In all our trials born to be our friends. He knows our need, our weakness is no stranger, Behold your King! Before him lowly bend! Behold your King! Before him lowly bend! Truly He taught us to love one another, His law is love and His gospel is peace. Chains he shall break, for the slave is our brother. And in his name all oppression shall cease. Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we, With all our hearts we praise His holy name. Christ is the Lord! Then ever, ever praise we, His power and glory ever more proclaim! His power and glory ever more proclaim! O Holy Night Lyrics Christmas Carol Lyrics Happy Holidays All .... I wish you and Yours a Very, Very Blessed Christmas ... and Happy Hanuka to our Jewish Community !! O ka Maluhia O ka I The Peace of "I" World Peace I cannot give you..... just my Peace... the Peace of "I" Maluhia RWG~ Lanikai

The Lume will improve with time out of the box ... the best light to "charge" the lume is IMO on the windowsill with indirect sunlight ... I am talking about what's best for the lume being "opened" and woken up so to speak.. this works best for me with the reps out of the box..Ziggy's lume is another story .. and if I lay it on the windowsill for a while it is brighter than neon lights My DS has been on my wrist for a week now and if I walk inside to a semi dark room during the day it is instantly blue .. so it will improve with a little time

FYI.. Samu.. I am able to see the etched coronet now with the naked eye..but you need light bouncing off the surface.. I can see it clearly ... I put a halogen flash light up to it.. too dark for natural light now.. and it is plain as day.. I wasn't "looking" for it before tonight.. Cheers L

He's gotta blame sombody... ... joking siesta..... NOT
-
Samu .. you need to get some light to bounce of the crystal to see it with your loupe.. put it up to the window .. and let the light glare off the crystal .. you should see the etched dots then .... with your loupe

I just would like to see what yall think ?? thanks L

Agree 100 .. I got the D60 on a great sale .. and now I remember the guy's at the shop saying the Nikon Macro is over priced and problematic.. get the "Sigma made for Nikon".. it's less costly.. however the settings are manual .. but once you get it ... you'll be happy.. the macro is great for pics where you want to take a large area outdoors too .. be safe ma man !! I do use the timer or the remote.. but still need the heavy tripod.. instead of my travel aluminium one.. it does make a difference (to me) I have not been to the camera shop ... my buddy used to moonlight their part time.. so whatever he say's .. good for me.. the new Nikon macro was delayed the last 5 times I checked .. but that was a long time ago.. I am happy for now with the sigma.. as he told me if the images are coming out crisp.. then stay with sigma.. as the Nikon macro is problematic.. (especially for the price)

Hi Dani, Hope you are having a great Holiday Season in the land of Vikings.. On the Advice of my buddy (who is a professional Photographer) I got the "Sigma Macro Lens" .. made for Nikon .. it is a manual , he said .. "learn how to use the manual settings on the Nikon" he told me the manual will produce better images if you can learn how to use it.. so I learned just by experimenting with all the settings .. for light .. in other words I manipulate the light .. not through the lamps .. but through the settings.. .. I am still waiting for Nikon to correct the problems and release their own Macro " (Nikon Macro about 1000 usd) .. all the pro's at the Camera shop tell me not to get the Macro Lens made by Nikon (yet) .. although it is auto.. for some reason .. (that I cannot remember them saying) .. Nikon has had technical problems with it... you do need a heavy tripod for the macro (manual .. the one I have) .. even though the camera has the anti vibration mechanism.. the macro lens is ultra sensitive. But then again you are talking to an "amateaur".. I have gotten into the habit of "holding my breath" whist focusing the lens, you can miss the shot easily.. since it is a manual.. that is the reason I take so long with taking the images.. and have to take many for 1 to work (for me) .. I am too picky at times.. hope that helps .. Aloha~Cheers L

Congrats in advance !!!.. after being outside this morning and then coming indoors the Blue Lume was the best I've seen it .. if only the lume could resemble the "White Opal" quality of the genuine when not charged.. mainly because the Opal is one of ma fav gem stones.. I'm not trying to "sell" this rep .. but it to me is like a hybrid .. Submersible /Rolex.. .. I really like the size .. but then again next week may be different.. The thing I love about this Hobby is the Variety !! Can't wait to see your images also Z..
-
Wow.. Samu .. excited for you man !!.. it'll be a day or so before the lume is fully charged.. so don't worry.. but regardless .. I cant't wait to see those images..

Proof Positive that Beauty is in the eye of the beholder... fo sure but 1 thing you should know about my "habit" .. is when I start something I try and do it to the best of my ability .. so when I started shooting pics of this CD I spent more time than I planned .. but then again it is after all my time .. which, I would rather decide for myself how to spend it.. But thank you .. kruz, for your growing concern .. I will keep in mind which watch you would want me to review..
