If Rolex sets industry standards... The AD that I visited had 2 116710 left in stock from a large beginning stock... how they estimate the sales as POTR mentions is amazing.. Fashion .. trends ..history repeats in cycles...IMO

one .. was the weight .. he has it listed at 141g but he also notes that he weighed it on a kitchen scale.. I cannot remember others off the top of my head.... privan found a genuine review with the weight closer to the reps.. at 151g or a little over..it's in this thread.. conversely he has the ar as undersided ar'd.. other reviews has it as double.. i went with the underside as i could not see double when I viewed it at the AD.. The 116710 bezel clicks in one-hours jumps and not in minutes as the 16710... this is from the review.. by one hour jumps i take that as 12 clicks ?? .. it has 24 clicks as does the genuine..

that's saying a lot for "our" so called intelligence... @mag.. remember just the underside of the mag is ar'd not the entire crystal ... the hour hand functions the same on the rep. ..however I am not tempted to "play" with it too much at this point but it does click and not slide when you use the adjustment via the crown...i am not overly confident in the mod. kit.. that's not saying it's not reliable.. but my take is ..........it is what it is...

only a very few left as of now.. better get one soon actually the maker produced a certain amount .. the 2nd run was destined for other parts of the world.. so better give credit to our collectors for securing for us what was supposed to be for other parties...

I do believe freddy that it is a combo of the fact that this is a rolex rep.. and for a long time all the rolex reps left us wanting a more detailed and better quality replication.. and with the evolutiopn of the rep industry and standards.. (maybe Honpo was the divining rod).. this is the first truely outstanding replication out of the box..the genuine TT in this model is supposed to be out soon .. one can only wonder and hope for now.. what the reps will be like in 09...

CONGRATS DT .... you will have no "buyers remorse" on this rep ... fo sure.. I can safely say for me it's the maker I go with these day's .. it's gotten to the point where if it is one of the 3 top makers,.. quality is almost a sure bet.. and I am not a betting man per say.. just calculated risk taker

Agree definitely crown/tube.. and as a side .. the cyclops ar is very possible... that small nuance is nice.. to be able to view the date font from any angle.. and with no glare from the mag ..just the down time ..

I was just funnin... but what vibes I'm catching and what I'm reading from you and I too agree.. it's not the design per say.. and that includes the increased size.. what it is for me is the replication of this piece.. to the composite ceramic wrapped bezel .. and the dial I do think this is worth every dollar that it cost me .. @sylar.. thank you very much for the pics .. although It's hard to tell really because the watches are at a slightly different angle and the lighting is bouncing off of them differently (which could play a huge part in the look of the slope in the CG) As you can see the angle is definately different and the lighting although just a hair's difference play's a big part in the appearance of the angles..

that is a mind that can analyze and problem solve.. confirms my belief that they are special creatures.. and why I have such animosity towards anything made from any part of the them..!!!

I really am having a hard time finding fault.. although I rather leave it up to the membership given the proof.. the rehaut lettering on the rep and genuine are hard to tell apart .. unlike the daytona's which are very faint.. and more silver.. the coronet .. btw is spot on .. i took my loupe just now and compared it .. to the micron.. at least it looks that way i was going to say the font on the genuine looks proper.. so I am getting them mixed up as the rep and the genuine (in this pic) look identical.. i don't like to rely on collectors pics too many variables with the lighting and lenses.. so the Font looks friggin the SAME..as far as size and colour !!!.. especially the numeral 4.. that is the one that looked fat in the collectors pics .. but live and in person it is the genuines twin !!! the teeth on the crown looks really good.. the only point really would be the lume ... the markers on the genuine I viewed were a torch even in the showroom.. the rep is OK.. well you know the song..
