  1. Actually you could use the movement, crystal, hands crown.. do you know what movement he is offering?? .. all you need is a case (which I hope my sample will pan out).. and FGD's dial.. did you get the dial ??? Edit add. you need to see what dial FGD has available.. and then request the proper case back with your watch form DSN, there are no more 202A dials available.. if the SS version is cheaper go for that one. AC/Lani
  2. Tip~ping .. is not a city in China
  3. The colour of the case back should be sort of like a hollogram effect.. dark staight on and when you turn the watch it should change shades to a lighter shade of grey when the case back is almost viewed straight on in good lighting the font on the insert should not be white .. more a light ash colour, and a bit thicker than the V3 version but not too much thicker.. the DSSD insert font is on the medium thick font and the pearl should have a translucent effect .. a clear coating on top and when looking at the pearl form a horizontal line .. the pearl: the clear coating should not be visible.
  4. Mahalo Zig.. and Toad.. I need to go over this a couple more times.. but for a member like myself who is not tuned to the practicum aspect of working on movements.. invaluable info again.. and in part answered my thought's on my Doxa Divestar.. taking off the case back I noticed enough oil for what seems now like a dozen movements or more.. obviously someone just dowsed the top of the movement with oil.. Remembering your tutorial on "gear teeth".. are these different from the genuine eta's gear teeth.. and some shaped like the "ninga stars" .. (sorry, that is the only description I know of) ???? or do they closely match the genuine eta's gear teeth ?? I guess the easiest for me to define would be the pins you mentioned.. just the 'servicing aspect equates to tuning and engine.. be it a Porsche or a Ford... Thank you again Ziggy and Toad for the contribution to this thread.. Good Shtuff.. AC/Lani
  5. There is a "Time and Place" .. often the best intentions can be misconstrued and taken out of context... but in the case of my review of the DSSD.. it was merely a matter of the proper display of the "competing" model..and the time and place that it was shown was out of context. and not an outcome borne of ego nor fear of comparisons..I respect Chris as much as I do Joshua and as such did not feel that posting the ET version of the watch was a proper thing to do.. nor the proper venue. At times as one doing reviews you need to be sensitive to what other dealers have going on in their business and respect that profile. To me, "Honesty without compassion is Brutality"... and the main point is inevitably, you would be pitting one dealer against another on an open forum.. a very good recipe for a divided community and flaming ones thread, to the point of chaos.. and not controlled chaos... I read many, many posts were the OP is posting.. "Buy from dealer XXXX ,..he is the best, don't buy from the Cartel"...(yet all dealers have made the same mistakes and are not in control 100 with what the makers send out..) I for one do not claim this of any dealer nor have I ever posted a review with my dealers name on it.. and have always stated that it is up to the individual who he/she buy's the rep from..and others post up the dealer all the time. I get inundated with PM's 24 hours a day.. and sleep with my Blackberry next to my head .. this I do for my business to be available 24/7 365 day's a year.. even when I was being asked if I wanted "last rights" administered in ICU awhile back.. I had my BB with me... and for my email that is linked to the forum to go off at all hours of the night is tolerable but I would like to avoid it if possible... and this was because members want to know who I got the rep I reviewed from. There have been some who have commented on me, and after doing reviews for 2 years .. all of a sudden say, I am "playing favorites" in naming Perfect Clones in my review.. well.. to tell it straight.. Joshua has been working on a corrected DSSD for close to a year now.. and the details had to be worked out, date window crystal.. it took a long time and he was responsible for the outcome on this one, although others will share in the sales.. so why shouldn't I give credit where credit is due.??? No one is closing ranks and playing favs.. and most of all, no one is shutting out info to the membership.. on the contrary .. with these reviews I am attempting to show it "all" with my pics and comments.. otherwise I would take a wide angle lens at a substantial distance and add comments that would be left to interpretation. But mostly .. I need to respect the other dealer who has a version of the same model out, and the member who does the reviews for that dealer. information is what RWG is all about... I reviewed different versions by the same dealer .. but in my reviews I "do not" nor will I allow other dealers pics.. weather good or bad, be posted, and that thread become a stage for pitting one dealer against another... because no matter how you spin it, it is not just the model behind the comparison , it is human beings backing that model .. that is the bottom line. There have been times where members ask "permission" from the member whose pics they would like to use on other fora's .. small community forums outside of the big 3 rep foras.. not a problem.. proper protocol.. me thinks I stated on the DSSD review thread after the fact,.. that I was sure the pics from another dealer was not done maliciously.. As thinkbachs hold true to his values ..which I'm sure are honourable... I must hold true to mine.. So in closing .. "I" requested that the pics from another dealer be removed for all of the above reasons.. and not because I did not want to allow another member to voice an opinion.. I hope that clarifies my thought's .. or some of them anyway AC/Lani
  6. I get mine from DSN.. they are snug.. tight.. very nice.. they come right to the edge of the lugs as the screw pins do.. good stuff.. AC Lani
  7. Important note: use loctite glue on the screws to the bracelet.. with the weight of the case set coupled with the threading of the links.. it will be wise to make this SOP for all DSSD's
  8. Ali, try again.. may have been Joshua's site was down.. it's working now.. No worries.. It did actually come across as a joke but some are always looking to troll... and take advantage whenever they can..' "No big".. I have merged all the separate reviews of this watch onto this thread .. long read for anyone that hasn't gotten to it yet.. AC/Lani
  9. BT's the OP so I'll wear my SMP for Monday And my TA Have a good week All !! AC/Lani

  12. Thank you Shundi.. a word of warning.. it is a beast gen. or rep.. a "Tool" watch fo sure..
  13. I think being in Hawaii and not Conus ... we're in the middle of the Ocean.. so for us Express is 3 to 4 day's Priority is 4 to 5 day's.. one of the high costs of living here.. is we depend on everything being "shipped" in.. prices are very high on normal commodities..
  14. I wish it were.. this is it >Here
  15. OK..here are more of the very good reps..the speedy Vintage Red.. Pilots Franken UPO chief tang super AR, gen dial, tube/crown invisible crystal Franken with gen crystal.. chiefs is better and only 50 usd for the coating as opposed to 200 usd for the gen. Or if Pams are your brand Ziggy relume BT fav.. Tag Aquaracer another BT endorsed Ebel Big Pilots.. Slevin, Ziggy relume and chief AR SMP chrono.. Ziggy relume chief AR .. chiefs AR makes your dial POP.. got more .. but you can start with these.. hope that helps your choices.. the possibilities are endless.. this community is a one stop watch forum.. fo sure AC/Lani
  16. Welcome to RWG one..my blacksteel comes form Perfectclones .. Joshua in the dealers section.. it is one of the best reps.. out for Breitling.. I really recommend the Blacksteel~ I'll post up the Skyyland grey dial in a bit.. AC/Lani
  17. antapex
  18. Yikes you do have it the best .. thanks Samu for the info.. it's good to posts this info for noobs every once in a while.. AC/Lani
  19. Yes.. express mail in my experience in the US.. is 4 "business" day's so if my parcel is at the airport PO on Friday afternoon.. most of the time it won't be delivered until Monday.. it depends.. but when I ship out I usually use express 'flat rate".. because to register a "Priority" parcel it takes just a few dollars more for express which gives a tracking without the extra fee.. if I go Priority I pay extra for tracking or registered.. it's a choice.. registered to Hawaii takes forever..
  20. The SOSF
  21. It'll take a bit to find my pics of my SMP chrono.. but the Breitling Blacksteel is a must have.. the DLC is identical to the genuine.. this one has been relumed and a eta 7750 dropped in.. AC/Lani
  22. You need to find a dealer that can deliver parts as well as the whole watch.. it's the reason I stick with my dealer.. holla if you need any pics on a model I may have them.. from my collection.. forgot to mention one of the best outta the box.. Omega SMP chrono.. a must have.. I'll post some pics of this one.. give me a sec..
  23. I could do a comparison with the 3 versions I have J.. but I would keep them to the same maker and dealer.. I don't feel comfortable using pics from another dealer's version.. it would be the V1 V3 and now "Ultimate" AC/Lani
  24. Welcome to the best supporting forum on the net.. great first choice.. holla if you need an assist AC/Lani
  25. A7750's are very good .. "if" they are serviced properly.. I have had good fortune with A7750's, it depends on the makers of different reps...imo.. Omega SOSF, UPO (both have eta versions .. the speedy's are very well repped Tag.. Aquaracer fo sure
