  1. Please note that I pulled out the crown for this particular pic to 'freeze' the hands' positions. In addition to the comment by Puggy: this (Trusty) watch is also one of my wristtime favourites! My next project must be a bit more tough looking chrono. I love the reduced moon watch and Tag Link Chrono but maybe some of you can give me some other options (The dial/case size must be under 42mm.)
  2. Here are some pics of my Porto with a beautiful black alligator strap. I took the first picture in the exact 'pose' as on the IWC website. Can you tell the difference? (Some of you will complain about my white balance, ok, some day I will master the PS CS2...) Gen IWC My Porto Thanks for watching!
  3. For those who really want the nice looking bracelet with shiny middle-links; ofrei.com offers the gen bracelet for $312,-. Gen Omega Bracelets Look for Speedmaster bracelet nr. 1469-811 on this page. (The gen reduced version would have a case nr. 3510.xx.xx) Since they warn for misfits I am very curious if these ends would fit the our dealers reps' lug holes.
  4. Looks like Paul sells both dial versions now: 40mm with stick markers 40mm with numerals I can't decide what I like better though... P.s. Did anybody try to achieve the shiny middle links using a Dremel and/or kitchen sponge?
  5. Thanks Dutchy, you're right: the Sub got the best pic! Sorry, but it has become one of my favourites! Looks like the JL has got to go; it doesn't get wrist time anymore ever since I got the IWC Porto!
  6. Thanks! (No Photoshop trics, just a picture taken in front of another picture...) And this is what was delivered today: a beautiful IWC Portuguese. I just switched the strap for a BOB strap that is a bit more red in daylight (you can't tell from this picture) and has some more padding. I saw a gen with a gen croc or alligator strap that was even more red. So I think I will try a so called Hadley Roma strap in the near future.
  7. I started my collection of reps some months ago triggered by a friend who owns a gen Chopard Mille Miglia. Looking for a nice deal on the net I stumbled over the RWG forum. Pretty soon I had a nice wishlist and started with an order of three watches from Andrew (Trusty). Now the following reps have replaced my gen Seiko Kinetic on my wrist: Omega SMP Bond ETA (Trusty) Rolex Submariner 16610 ETA (a Trusty, thanks Dutchy!!) Tag Link GMT ETA (Joshua) Chopard Mille Miglia Asian (thanks rmcsherry!!) Jaeger Le Coultre Master Reserve de Marché cream Asian (Trusty) Omega Constellation two-tone ladies Quartz (Trusty) IWC Portuguese Chrono ETA (in-transit from Trusty) (The SMP came with a Chronometer 300M bracelet; I bought a replacement from Andrew, so it's for grabs!) GEN Seiko Kinetic Auto Relay (pretty beaten...) SMP Bond Sub 16610 Tag Link GMT Chopard Mille Miglia Jaeger Le Coultre P.s. the blue beauty in the back is a V8 Cobra replica.
  8. As only can be expected, great pics!! P.s. is it a gen Portuguese or a rep? I saw a gen last week and was impressed by the warm "reddish" brown colour of the strap. I do not expect this to be the colour of the rep, so I already checked out a fitting BOB strap.
  9. No wrist escapes me ever since I set foot on RWG grounds..., it's compulsive! When I first noticed I was doing it with my colleagues, I felt ashamed and embarassed, thinking other colleagues were seeing me doing it and probably wondering why. In my company gen Omegas rule for males and females. In some of the factory parts all light emitting devices are prohibited. So I noticed management all wearing non-lumed watches. My hairdresser (the boss) loves chunky gen's and has Panerai, Rolex and Suunto watches. That's where I first saw that Panerai were that big! I saw him staring at my Tag Link GMT rep ("hmmm, don't know that model, but me likee...!") I'm convinced he has no clue that really good reps could be his w/o visiting Thailand himself.
  10. I guess you are right . I found a discussion on another forum that seems to settle it (once and for all). Panerai - Ritmo Mundo discussion
  11. Last week I saw actor David Caruso as Horatio Caine in CSI Miami wearing a Panerai. Now I'm not a Panerai expert, so I could not tell from the shots on TV what he was wearing. I found a picture of him wearing the watch: Who can tell me what it (most likely) is? (p.s. reps of his and other celebrity sunglasses can also be found on the web: Maximum eyewear)
  12. Reading several topics on the forum I'm under the impression that some of you, like me, are not fully comfortable with wearing a Sub rep. Although you and I definitely adore the looks it's just because Rolex (reps) are so well known (notorious). Maybe I'm only reflecting on myself here... What is your opinion on the Seiko daughter: Orient, that replicated the Sub quite nicely and called it Diver 100M. Here you can find an good photo shoot and review of the watch: Orient Submariner mini review .
  13. Obvious question: Are you the only RWG trusted dealer shipping w/i the EU?
  14. Hi, I would like to start my collection with 3 reps of the same brand (O...). I was thinking of placing 1 order for all 3. Anybody want to share experiences (and/or prevent me from disaster)?
  15. As a newbie myself I was wondering as well if there are any out there. I found this nice piece with a 3-time indication (3rd in outer ring; adjustment via big crown): http://www.horlogenieuws.nl/?p=31 It is celebrating the end of WWII in 1945. I do not know this GEN's price. I would love to see it rep'ed.
  16. Thanks for all the quick responses. I allready spent quite some time now reading RWG tips, guides and mouth-watering on several reps on the RWG related dealer sites. So I will follow your advices and stick to the paved paths of RWG! (I think I will treat myself and the Ms. on short notice on our first reps: an Omega SM GMT 2836 and a Constellation 2-tone.) 17. Hi, Does anybody have a comment on dealer Replicahause.com ? I was looking for a nice Omega SM America's Cup rep when I stumbled on to this site: [url=http://www.replicahause.com/product_info.php?cPath=64&products_id=749&osCsid=c3a48ca3dd107ae3f0296ced3367f87c? Timepiece.
  18. If you are really looking for under 100 bucks you could try this one: http://www.watchstrapsuk.com/index.php?inf...1832c49577abd72 scroll down a bit for croc and alligator styles. Timepiece
