Do you happen to know if Spinmaster replaces them on the ones that he assembles from DW parts or does he just loctite the tubes into the case?

I have the 42mm PO from Narikaa - love it - and there is nothing uncomfortable about the bracelet. By all means get the rubber strap too if you think you'd like a change now and again.

Vice grips? Ye gods man... If you absolutely positively want to open it without purchasing the proper tool then at least try a pair of needlenose pliers of the appropriate size held perpendicular and vertically to the back of the watch with the tips inserted into the recesses on the case back. If you slip and hurt the watch or yourself you are on your own. Even if you get one of the cheap made in India case wrenches you will be miles ahead of any other method of opening. If you are in a rush go to the watch kiosk in your local mall and ask them to loosen it up for you.

Not liking it at all on the leather. I like the Speedmaster on my St. Moritz carbon strap but for some reason the Seamaster in your pictures just doesn't look happy on that strap. Send it to me and I'll send you back a picture of it happy on its' new carbon strap.

Seamaster GMT with the black dial and the silver / black bezel has always been a favorite of mine. Who has the best one? The best pictures I've found are probably the one at Kingwatch but the mistake on the text of the dial bothers me and would probably keep me from buying it.

Caution: One of the pins at the clasp end of the bracelet - sorry don't have it in front of me so can't say exactly which one - is not secured by an internal sleeve and slid right out on my example. I'll probably dab it in CA glue or maybe some 5 min epoxy and hope to make it a permanent part of the bracelet.
