  1. I think i have made a major calculation error in the cost of this PVD case, as the PVD coating alone is $150 it'll definitely be around $200 mark or higher
  2. There is no rush, ill be doing a prototype just to make sure it comes out ok. Just like the B&R Ill post pics when its finished but it will be a while as i dont even have the case yet
  3. Im not sure but around $160 paypaled and shipped. But price to be confirmed as the dollar has fallen against the Chinese currency so cost may be slightly more expensive
  4. It seems that there is a PAM 183 style watch with ceramic/pvd coating. I may be able to get some case and get them PVDed if there is interest. If there is any interest in getting just the case only including case back and crown which will all be PVDed, just like the B&R i did. The advantage of this is that if you have a PAM 183 or PAM 210, just swap out the case and you have a completely different look! instead of buying a new watch!, if you want to change back then simply change cases. Easy! Please post interest here as i would need to gauge numbers.
  5. I used to have a 183 but sold it a long time ago Well the time has come to get another one i dont mind if its the G or H series. I know the G and H series has the 'black seal' writing in different positions. The G series has the paneri panerai engraving, the H doesnt. BUT so far i have only seen the G series movement with the correct 'Dagger' style swan neck but is it available for the 183? Does the H series movement have the correct swan neck. has the short canon pinion and hour wheel been fixed. Sorry i have completely lost touch with the PAM manual winds. Cheers
  6. Does anyone know how to remove a crystal that ISNT held in by a retention ring? It seems like the crystal doesn't have the normal retention ring that our reps have, maybe it is cemented in? Any help is appreciated Cheers

I would like to thank the Admin of RWG, the members and especially The Zigmeister as without him i wouldn't be in the position i am now being able to disassemble and re assemble watches and modify them Thank you and here's hoping for the 2,000th post. This really is the BEST place to be Cheers
  8. Thanks very much with the pic Although i dont like it..... The SS looks much better than PVD Cheers
  9. Ah ok, i understand but i dont have photoshop. Anyway cheers, it looks great. Can you do a PVD one????
  10. Im crap at enhancing/altering photos and i dont have any photo software. The only thing i have is paint. If someone here is a dab hand could they help me. Id like to know what this watch would be like like if the Gold bezel and Gold links were SS. And also what would it look like PVDed? Can it be changed using photo software? Here are the pics
  11. Just a feeler if there is any interest in Asian 6497 movements. The movements have seconds at 9 o'clock position There are 3 designs 1 - Standard 2 - Machined 3 - Skeleton in 2 colours: SILVER And GOLD If there is any interest please post here. As for pricing im not sure at this stage but No. 1 and 2 would be around $50 - 70 and no. 3 - around $70 - 80 all including shipping and paypaled
  12. You are quite right Baz, members please dont think that just because it has a GEN PVD coating that it wont scratch, it WILL eventually, just like any other watch. Its your job to take care of it, Yes it harder than other coatings but if you hit it of a wall for example it will probably scratch
  13. Here it is http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=65241 Finally an engraved Rotor, this was one of the biggest glaring flaws

  17. I will be starting an MBA in March 2008. I have just finished my teacher training and it went ok. Hard work but its all over now and im a fully qualified High School science teacher BUT.... The teacher training opened my eyes on education. Teachers are very under paid, dont work 9am-3pm, and being a teacher isnt just teaching. In the last year of training that I had, I was a Teacher, parent, counsellor, guidance person/officer, friend. And i have to be very careful with the word 'Friend' in education. Teachers are in a state of limbo, we cant help students because if we do then we are accused of getting too close to them, if we dont help them then we are neglecting them etc..... Disciplining kids these days is a whole different ball game. Its very difficult, they dont listen, swear at you and dont respect teachers at all. Anyway im doing the MBA to expand my career choices but i have zero experience in that field Has anyone done an MBA, have any advice Cheers
  18. Lello Are these datewheels for the breitling chrono avenger as well?
  19. This is copied from watchseek forum and is a lot of info! We enthusiasts are a strange lot. For us it is not enough to know that we have a well-made and reliable watch; we also want to know other details such as where the movement was made. There is a reason for this of course; the movement is the
  20. There is already a thread about this and the 'HRS' letters on the 12 oclock subdial is spelt wrong. On the watch its 'HOS' Or maybe it should be POS........
