  1. A top-quality disassembly, ultrasonic cleaning, inspection, oiling and re-assembly for a normal ETA movement is $100 at most (or you are paying too much). A7750 top-quality service is $190. See "14060 or 16610?" and "Katt" at RWI forum for service. Katt does not do 7750 .. only asia, clone and ETA non-chrono movements. They are both in CONUS.
  2. All I have to say is thank you for everything, RWG members. It's been a good 2 years.
  3. Can you please link the page on WatchEden for this watch? For $300, it should sing and dance. edit: OK never mind, it took me 10 seconds to find this PVD Daytona on WatchEden .. and it's an A7750 chronograph movement so it should be fully functional. Unless you are not operating the watch correctly, every hand should be functional. Did you **slowly* wind the watch at the stem by hand approximately 30 turns .. and I emphasize slowly .. the Swiss and Asian 7750 movements can be harmed by overzealous hand winding. Next make sure your pusher clamps are loosened so that the pushers can be depressed .. and then push down on the chrono trigger to make it work. Press the trigger again to stop the chrono and then press the chrono reset plunger to reset all hands to 12
  4. Yes, I noticed the day wheel after I had matched up the "Icarus" case back engraving .. I think his original photo is quartz, yes .. but HEY .. if the 28Kbph a21j is 88 dolla ... why not go for it
  5. I have only ever purchased movements from wholesaleoutlet990 on eBay, so I can't comment about their clasp quality. The problem with rep dealers servicing watches is the sheer volume of them that they sell every day. A dealer would have to employ an army of watchsmiths to offer this service. There used to be one dealer who did this but he wasnt able to deal with it and exploded even after hiring more help. Even if you do buy a genuine swiss movement in your watch, chances are that it has been warehoused in non-sterile packaging for ... who knows how long. And then it was assembled in a dusty factory .. SO your genuine swiss ETA movement has dirt in it. It's just a fact of life. What I tell people is this .. live with your watch for a couple of months. If you decide you love it, and want to keep it for years then by all means have it serviced by a trusted watchsmith .. there are prices well under $100 for a plain ETA service. Afterwards, service it every 5 years (oil evaporates) .. yes even GEN watches must be serviced every 5 years and THEY cost $600 for the same service you need.
  6. It looks like Champagne color hands and dial rings ... but that is a guess. Colors can be so wrong in digital photos.
  7. Simply look on the very first page of this web site ? ... There are many dealers listed there and they are very hard to miss.
  8. This is a photo of the a21j Aquatimer. WatchEden dealer $88 with $20 discount coupon The description says full titanium ...

    Rolex GMT2

    It's beautiful! Enjoy it.
  10. The long thin hand is the chrono STOP WATCH hand, not a running seconds hand.
  11. I do not know the color of the black dial. The white dial has a matte silver ring with polished silver hour indices It looks like the color of the camera and the shirt the photographer is wearing are reflecting in the watch
  12. AP Royal Oak Offshore Red Themes? This is a guess.
  13. Search is your friend. Possibly 100 people have asked any question you have. Click this. BOOM goes the Search dynamite
  14. Thank you for that info
  15. Im curious why people are swapping the movement in a new watch. Is something wrong with the one that comes with this new rep?
  16. ? A swiss ETA 2824 is $130 .. Is the watchsmith doing a full teardown service, regulation and install on the new movement? Then it would almost be the right price IF shipping was included. Also, WHO990 has the clasps (sterile) for $25 on eBay.
  17. It sounds like this piece was damaged in transit. It happens. Email your dealer and he will replace it. If it's not an a21j then you can have it fixed locally or thru a forum modder. If it is an a21j you can just replace the entire movement with a band new one for under 50 bux.
  18. You forgot to mention that the Gen needs a CP FIX .. It's not flush. an OUTRAGE bwaahahaha
  19. I didn't want to talk about dealers who lie about ship dates. I was trying to be positive. How about you?
  20. The Gen says 3:22 .. and his Crazy Colour Dreams says about 10:08 ..
  21. If KB ships to me from GZ on Monday, the postman has it in his hands for me on Saturday.
  22. I love it! It just needs some aging on the insert, case and bracelet to match the vintage dial.
