So to summarize: forum people are so obsessed with lume brightness that the Factory used a brighter lume than even the Gen uses, and thus it is minutely green in daylight. So as the wise man said .. be careful what you wish for.

I just say thank you! And if they ask about the brand, I'll tell them it's a rep. If the first question is "how much was that watch?!" I just smile since it's a semi-rude question to begin with. If they persist, I say it's "normally" a $5/6K watch but this one is a replica. And then I point out the good features of the rep I'm wearing.

If it leaks, the case is pressurized with 3ATM ... water can not get in.

Oh well done! It would have been so easy to make something like that look tacky and cheap.

Is this the episode where they create "Simplicity" ?? That is an AMAZING watch. Nothing I've seen compares. I love how those Swiss masters BITE the tabletop in their teeth to hold their eyes steady as they work.

and REAL cap head screws on the back are a huge bonus. +++ for this factory. I have one in black with real screws and the anti-dust rubber strap (quartz mvnt) and it's so sweet.

Made with not one but TWO gens as a sample!!!! lol I likey ... but it needs more straps as options. brushed SS with some form of brown/tan wristband would be amazing. I'd like to see it on various shades of brown to decide.

Soooo ... a really good emailing, overall.

To summarize, ET claims to have negotiated new pearls for his DSSD .. was very troublesome .. purchased all competitors' DSSD models and compared them .. is re-epoxying all crowns on his DSSD's by hand to correct a factory error .. a LOT of info in this email to explain a lapse in shipping ... more things as well .. I hope they summarize all the things they have done in the last 2 weeks for all the people here to see.

No, that's the reflective nature of a mirror finish. As a matter of fact, this is called "black polish" .. so chrome/perfect/smooth that it looks black at off-angles. they are not really black.

If I can just say something here ... sapphire watch crystals are not dug up out of the ground, nor are there huge, perfect chunks of mined sapphire which are polished into watch crystals. Pure, clear MAN MADE sapphire is laboratory grown in lengths, in rod form up to 400mm in width, and cut to the required thickness. Watch crystals are not mined. Sapphire watch crystals are synthetic sapphire. They are desirable due to their hardness .. 9x harder than glass.

Since the Gen DSSD does not come with AR, how does that super-thick crystal look with it in there?

This might already have been addressed but from the photo of the interior of this PC, I can see that there is only 1 RAM chip stick in there. This prevents the memory bus from running in Dual Channel mode ... when you install RAM in pairs, your motherboard interleaves the RAM addresses and can access the RAM almost 2x faster, since it treats each RAM chip stick as a different memory "channel" ... if you have 1 2Gig stick in there, it would probably be better for you to to have 2x 1G sticks!! When you make this change, your BIOS boot up message will now say "Memory runs in Dual Channel mode!"

Yeah, I found the plexi .. and the hands are made of very thin gold .. so .. I'm lucky they are not BOTH bent now to find the winding rotor .....
