  1. Think this is happening for sure?
  2. Would that really work, Concepta?
  3. Didn't know there was a gen crow around for this watch. I remember you saying you needed one. Great piece!
  4. Wow, that's a stunner, congrats! You'll keep that forever and I'm sure it was cheaper than going regular gen by miles.
  5. Bump for this interesting thread, any shots of final product?
  6. I have the quartz model, it's fine, just buy and move on unless you want to get the Concepta model. No one cares what kind of movement is in your watch.
  7. Thanks for the invite guys- I would love to do a GTG but I've got a commitment that day already. Let me know if you do it again or if it gets rescheduled. I've got a nice collection that I would love to share with people who appreciate it.
  8. Hey, saw you are also in Denver, let me know if you're selling anything in future as I'm in town as well.

  9. I'll give a bump since I too have been fascinated by this color combo since Lebron James rocked on the cover of GQ with a matching brown and light blue suit on. Is this even available quartz? I haven't seen it anywhere!
  10. There is good research that people who sweat making the right purchase decision are not as happy. Like crazy watch collectors. Better to buy it and move on then perseverate needlessly. Not that I can do that, and I'm a psychotherapist in training!
  11. What are the specs on that besides gen dial/hands, DW, and ar'd crystal? Wait, is that just a straight up gen? I can't even tell. I am definitely going to put a gen dial on mine in near future and have chief do the AR. I already put ETA DW's in it.
  12. I had the same issue, which is why I went with a VJC on black. The only problem is the crystal is not as good, and I'm still thinking of getting the 7 days in grey.
  13. Here's the straps I was talking about: These really look and feel great, about $130. He had a lot of options and did custom sizing. I think these straps makers used to work for Hermes- they;re in Thailand. I might have him do another for my spitfire after I get a gen dial and get the crystal AR'd.
  14. I've been into the 312 for a while, that one you posted is by far the best. I didn't know it had come out- must be relatively new. The DW is still bad. I had a cheaper version that had rather greenish numbers, though I can't tell if that's still the case here, but it looks that way. . Also, looks like the crystal could use an AR job from Chief. I suspect it has a date advance button at 8 o'clock that is being covered by Trusty's logo. Just coincidence, i'm sure! Otherwise, not bad.
  15. I got a brown one for a Portuguuese and didn't like it. Got a much better one for about $125 from a maker I found on a gen forum, much better quality. PM if you want his email.
  16. I hope this quality becomes the new standard!
  17. I think you get what you pay for in straps. My favorite IWC strap maker is a guy named Peter, they're Thai, awesome quality. Tried the watch boys, sent it back. Not even close.
  18. There's a yachtclub on watcheden, half way there. It's ok. http://www.watcheden.com/iwc-portuguese-two-tone-zone-automatic-with-white-dial-leather-strap-i-60194-p-1.html I'm assuming watcheden's 48mm listing is including the crown guard or something. Gen is a robust 45mm, which I think would be a fun size. Gen for comparison:
  19. Hi, I've been looking at the 270's on watch eden's site and wondering about them as well. Any developments on this since you left off with it?
