  5. I love a date on a watch in fact, I look at my watch to see the date more than wat time it is... however, looking at some Pateks recently (dress purposes only), I found that they look better without the date why does a dress watch need a date anyway? Im mean, you come home shower, change and take off your beater and put on your tux and Patek for a night at the opera you presumably know the date on the tickets already!

  15. if every idea is taken down - then I really cant see the point of whinging about the current problems find a solution, or accept the shortcomings of the status quo!
  16. that is a very tricky scenario - I would never buy a gen over the net
  17. i think in time, the dealers wont accept ppal - there will be too many clowns wrecking it for everyone with chargebacks for member to member: a) ppal protects buyer, not seller moneygram/wu/banktransfer protects seller, not buyer so we need a half-way measure between a and b I propose an insurance scheme ala Lloyds of London where members underwrite other members they trust eg say me and 9 others trust Offshore - we all agree that if Offshore sells a watch to KB for $300 and then he just buys lots of scotch and never sends the watch, then KB claims on his insurance of say 90% of $300 - we send $27 each to KB obviously, sellers who are respected and trusted and had history wont have that much trouble attracting underwriters
