  1. Have not purchased a TC before I had a BK sub and lost it on vacation can someone point me in the right direction?
  2. Does anyone have any clue where one might still be able to find one?
  3. @pcardoza - Correct, I have been in constant communication with Andrew, and have sent him videos of the watch behaving badly. He made the offer to repair, and made the process very clear. This is why I am reaching out to the community, to see if this is a fixable issue by another means.
  4. @alterego - I have purchased from Andrew in the past, and I plan to again. I truly believe he is one of the best TD. He has offered repair service, however I would like to see if this is repairable/fixable locally. @misiekped - yes, this also happens immediately on wind, and when wound down it will happen on tap, or with balance movement / any motion.
  5. I recently ordered an IWC 0156 from Andrew, and when it arrived right out of the package the second hand was spinning like crazy. Days turned into minutes, minutes to seconds, and I am asking myself... Where has all the time gone? I digress. Anyhow, I asked Andrew what the deal might be, and he suggested I wind the watch 30 rotations or so, and let it wind down, repeat for a few days and perhaps it might correct itself. After doing this for about a week I'm convinced this trick ain't working. I really don't want to run the risk by sending it back for repair. Is anyone familiar with this kind of issue, who might be able to point me to more info/possible fix. Many thanks,
  6. Has anyone had any luck finding good quality stuff? I think we've had the discussion before about down quality and such. I am not interested in going to the arctic any time soon... but I'd like a couple of vests to rotate through the end of fall into winter. I see Ken has some Moncler coats any reviews?
  7. http://www.intime.co/product.php?id_product=1530 Thoughts on this guy? Looking to buy for a while but can't really find a good comparison... does anyone have notes against gen?
  8. Thanks to all for the considerate diversions
  9. It's getting to be that time to buy a new parka. If you have any suggestions as to where to pick up a great rep (real wolf fur, real down, etc.) please share. I have heard there out there but most sites I see are super shady. I know that some have reservations about rep coats, but I've owned high quality rep coats in the past, and I'm not looking to embark on a trip to Everest... just need to get through winter in Chicago

    4113 Rep?

Just came across this ref, has anyone (custom or factory) built anything to tribute this beauty? http://www.hodinkee.com/blog/2011/4/29/the-rolex-reference-4113-split-second-chronograph-at-christi.html Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free

  13. I am a sucker for a classic chrono, just came across this on a blog but it was unnamed... anyone know what model this is and if there's a good rep out there of it? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free

  15. I know my wife would love a j12 if the dial issues were revised. She's petite but she opt for men's watches, and wears my sub from time to time, and has a Michael Kors watch that's gotta be 42mm... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free
  16. Caught up with Mike this weekend in person. Among other things, we talked at lengths about this thread. He takes everything here with extreme diligence. Yes, at the end of the day he has work to complete--and while it may be hard to remember people, bc this is the internet--he's still a person, and recently suffered a very tragic family loss. I don't speak for him, just trying to supply some reassurances. He's catching up, and ran me through his schedule for working and communication (7 days a week) ... he's incredibly devoted and passionate to his work. I have complete faith that Mike is totally and wholly committed to ensuring timely completion of all jobs on his plate... and given what he's had to go through lately, I sincerely applaud his level of commitment and professionalism. And if he's not replying on this thread, it's because he's probably working... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free
  17. Have to say, I really enjoyed the fight... and not having to pay $65 to to learn what I already knew. And, while I always secretly hope his contender just comes out and whoops his A$$, he's just too intelligent and entertaining to not back. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free
  18. Just catching the replay online... how goofy is that tiny vanilla ice wannabe Justin Bieber looking like Mayweather's little puppy walking out, Hope this fight is less disappointing than the opening... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free
  19. For me, the quality of the Pam reps are so high, and the simplicity of the design it's hard not to be in love. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free
