  1. This happened around 10 o'clock one night in Texas.. A nun was walking home to the ..nunnery(?) after choir practice, and passing outside the Double T bar a man came stumbling out with an unsteady walk, supporting himself on the walls, a bottle of beer in his hand.. Huge guy, looking like a lumberjack, boots and all. He looks at the nun, squinting through blood shot eyes. Something like a look of recognition in his eyes before he screams and lunges at the nun, smashing the beer bottle over her head and follows up with a hooked left to her jaw.. The nun falls flat on the ground, but the lumberjack does not let off, he throws the broken bottle away and kicks her in the groin area with his dirty workboots, kneels over her and starts smacking her face with his big fists.. At this point people are starting to gather around then, some trying to stop him. It takes 4 big guys to pull him off, restraining his every movement. He tries to kick her, but is dragged off.. His head hanging now, panting with exhaustion as he bellows: "HAH!!! I knew it!!! You're just another weak pussy, Batman!"
  2. Sorry, I wont flat-pack them, that would lower their value.. But to avoid customs issues I'll mark them "literature" or "Used toilet paper for recycling".
  3. Ok, I'll ask the mods to move this whole thread to to the off-topic section..
  4. I don't wanna push my luck here, but now we have established our mutual love for rep light bulbs, I have something that can just about complete your collection.. Product: Light bulb boxes in various sizes Condition: Like new (but opened) Origin: Osram factory +various Stock: 7 (but I can source more) No, your eyes are NOT decieving you. They are GENUINE boxes for most standard 14/27 sockets. I can also get 60W boxes if there is enough interest. Imagine one of your friends accusing you of using rep bulbs in your lamps.. you can go "REPS? WTF man, if they were reps, why the hell do I own the ORIGINAL box?" And show him one of these babies.. You'd shame him there and then. PM me for details, gentlemen, but remember, quality don't come cheap..
  5. BDSM is an abbreviation for "Bondage & Discipline and Sadism & Masochism" (I'm sure someone can tell you all about it if you would want to learn more..) The Gimp is a character from the movie Pulp Fiction: http://www.dirtragmag.com/forums/attachmen...=3040&stc=1
  6. That is one cool diver, but Oh yeah... "bring out the Gimp!"
  7. Beautiful bulb Pugwash! Where did you get it? Can you post a dealer review? Around my parts, we're stuck with the screw-in E-27 and E-14 sockets. I envy your click ins.. We only get those on the halogen spots.
  8. 2 if they are the forum pimps among us, one to hold the bulb and one to drive the pink lowrider Cadillac in tiny circles.. 8 to suggest that you should have posted at least 100 posts about changing the light bulb before you are allowed to buy one. 6 to tell the 100-post suggestors that that's really up to the light bulb dealers to decide, and that we have discussed this before. 3 noobs to say that they have bought and changed light bulbs before they came to the forum, and try to be really eloquent so dealers will notice them and perhaps give them $20 off on their first buy.
  9. Hummm.. Oil is lighter than water (and I suppose vinegar), so it would float on top of the vinegar in the jar. She could tip the jar a little and let three drops of oil drip into the pastawater. And if the jar has a lid, she could turn it upside down so the vinegar is nearer the lid and unscrew the lid to let two drops of vinegar out.. Mama would make one hell of a mess but at least she tried.. hehe
  10. Ok, here they are, my pride and intense joys. On the left is my Glashütte Karee Original No 125 with an automatic movement that stops when you touch the watch. Next to that is my Overboosted SMP GMT with the customized, aligned and superglued bezel insert. Just touching that is my grandfather's old gen Certina DS with the pearl dial and gold hands and markers, sporting a 17jewel 25-66 movement and a cool turtle on the back cover. The hands fell off back in 96 during a D.D.E concert (but I can tell time by looking at the sun, so it's ok). Moving on, above the Cert we have the gen Pulsar Chronograph something with a Seiko something movement, the sapphire broke on the tiles of a pool in Turkey(I suspect plain old glass). Below the Certina is a Breitling Chrono quartz, bought in Thailand some time around 2003.. Great watch, but the bracelet falls off too often. To the right of that we have the Amundsen Veritas approved chrono, I've had it since 1998, but the bracelet broke a few years ago. This was my favourite. Above it are two SMP 007 eds. None in perfect working condition right now.. or ever. After those we have the Glashütte karee again, this time with a black dial and an even less working automatic movement and a real afghan foreskin strap. And ah yes, le "Pièce de résistance" my Timex Magnum Indiglo 30m waterproof (though the case says 200), and shock resistant diver's watch, wearing a handsome matching rubber strap with a nickle buckle. The name "indiglo" says it all.. This watch will blind you if you press the "light" button, so it comes with a warning. Other than that there are various dials and stuff, most of it has sentimental value.... Most of it I don't know the name of. Before you all get all ahoo and PM me begging to buy my Timex Magnum Indiglo I can assure it is not for sale at any price, trade or service.. Thanks for looking, and may St.Eligius (Patron saint of watch makers) watch over you. Regards -EverythingApe-
  11. lol, ooh that's clever! Or.. we could make a noob paypal-complaining rep buyer hold on to the bulb, tie him to a string on a center post beneath the bulb and let the insulted dealers chase him around for a while.
  12. Though this a friendly forum, here's how a normal little thing could be stretched out over 30 pages: How many forum members does it take to change a light bulb? 1 to change the light bulb and to post that the light bulb has been changed 14 to share similar experiences of changing light bulbs and how the light bulb could have been changed differently 7 to caution about the dangers of changing light bulbs and that you should have a pro do it 1 to move it to the Lighting section 2 to argue then move it to the Electricals section 7 to point out spelling/grammar errors in posts about changing light bulbs 5 to flame the spell checkers 3 to correct spelling/grammar flames 6 to argue over whether it's "lightbulb" or "light bulb" ... another 6 to condemn those 6 as stupid 2 industry professionals to inform the group that the proper term is "lamp" 15 know-it-alls who claim they were in the industry, and that "light bulb" is perfectly correct 19 to post that this forum is not about light bulbs and to please take this discussion to a lightbulb forum 11 to defend the posting to this forum saying that we all use light bulbs and therefore the posts are relevant to this forum 36 to debate which method of changing light bulbs is superior, where to buy the best light bulbs, what brand of light bulbs work best for this technique and what brands are faulty 7 to post URL's where one can see examples of different light bulbs 4 to post that the URL's were posted incorrectly and then post the corrected URL's 3 to post about links they found from the URL's that are relevant to this group which makes light bulbs relevant to this group 13 to link all posts to date, quote them in their entirety including all headers and signatures, and add "Me too" 5 to post to the group that they will no longer post because they cannot handle the light bulb controversy 4 to say "didn't we go through this already a short time ago at the old forum?" 13 to say "do a Google search on light bulbs before posting questions about light bulbs" 1 newbie forum lurker to respond to the original post 6 months from now and start it all over again. Feel free to add as you see fit!
  13. Congratulations! Best of luck to you and your family and a life of good health to your son..
  14. Oh I know this! The vain bastard had made his tailors sew the uniform on him, adding buttons afterwards just for show.. He had said he wanted no wrinkles or creases in his uniform, so they decided to sew it on. Edit: we made the assassination into a school play once, I played one of the aids trying to get him out of his uniform, but actually cutting into his skin and thus making him bleed more.
  15. Thanks a lot guys! r11co, I appreciate your thoughts! You would have saved the day. I honestly didn't think I'd find them. Linder and I had a wake last night discussing it and problem solving.. hehe. Thanks for the support man, I have learned a lot about how similar sexual organs and watch parts are @pugwash I see what you mean, trying to fit the spring it bounced around a bit, my heart dropped a few times, and then the bezel spring flew out of my hands.. lol I'm not cut out for these micro mechanics I think. I love how no problem is too small in this forum. I ordered 3 watches from Andrew today, I look forward to breaking them and come crying to you people!
  16. Well lo and behold what hid in my sofa.. I can't believe my luck, I threw the pillows out of it, and got in close with a big ass flashlight. And there they were, I'd never have suspected those shiny parts were from my watch had I not used this forum and your expertise. Thanks a lot! Problem solved, and insert aligned. Blurry photos of the two buggers: PS: This made me learn my lesson about not just pulling out the Leatherman and having a go at a beautiful watch..
  17. A swollen penis due to a bee-sting? "Doctor, do you have something that will take the pain away, but keep the swelling?"
  18. Thanks Chrgod, it didn't bother me either, but I was sitting reading the guide the other night, and thought "what the hell". And thanks Pugwash for the pics! So what I am looking for is the tiniest piece of metal and a tiny-tiny spring. At least some good will come of this, my gf will love the ultra-clean floors.
  19. Well, this makes sense.. As I cannot see how a normal wire-string could have escaped me. I have been over the accessible parts of the surroundings, but came up with nothing ('cept some M&Ms and some small change). I'll dust the room tomorrow, and see if something turns up. Thanks for the tip!
  20. This is my predicament; I popped the bezel off to align the insert as described in By-Tor's great pictorial how-to. I saw no click-spring when I opened it. (in my stupidity it MIGHT have flown off). Anyway, I am left with the bezel, the inner spring-thingy in the bezel groove and the insert. My SMP GMT does not look exactly like By-Tor's Bond SMP when it comes to the ratchet teeth on the bezel bottom, and what I suppose is the hole for the spring is located near 8 o'clock on the case (as opposed to 11 on his) The hole is also a lot bigger (like 2mm diameter) My ratchet teeth are pointing down and not inward like on the Bond. I've tried scavenging a spring from another watch, but this, although thin wire, does not allow the bezel to fit snugly on the case, leaving a gap and poor operation. I can't help thinking a little stud or summin in that hole would be better. What I am asking for is someone who owns a GMT, or knows what it should look like, please explain to me if there is a spring at all, or snap a pic for me of how it's supposed to look. Any help appreciated PS: I asked in By-Tor's guide thread first, but I want to reach a broader audience with this.. Sorry for the double-whine. regards
  21. Well, I love the "how-to" By-tor! But as I always I messed something up. I popped the bezel of my SMP GMT and found that the spring does not have the hook-down at one end like the one in this tutorial, and my bezel has a groove where the spring is placed inside.. So a hook could not enter any hole if it had been there, you can't really see much of the the spring when it's in place. The teeth on the bezel are facing DOWN as opposed to IN like the one in the pics. There's a hole in the casing like the one in By-Tor's 11 o'clock, but mine is a larger hole at around 8. I get the bezel back on, but no click and no stop from turning clockwise. I can't see how the spring can stay in place when there's no hook on it. Anybody tried to align a bezel like this and run into similar problems? I'd love some advice. EDIT: Problem solved with the help of fellow members and a flashlight.
  22. You know, I don't think that looks too bad! It's all in how you carry yourself.. A limp-wrist gay guy can not pull it off, but it's all in the wrist, man.. I'd wear it proud.
  23. Thanks for the replies guys, after seeing the picture I have to agree it looks like the PAM 74, I'm still trying to decide which Panerai to get, and I have no overview over models and numbers yet.
  24. Here's a link that shows Panerai's close connection to action and violence! Panerai in the movies.. http://www.strapculture.com/gallary/Gallerypage3.html If it's good enough for The rock, The Transporter, Sly and Arnold, it's good enough for me! (and Hugh Grant, knowing he did Liz Hurley on a regular basis, has to be cool too..) Kan anybody tell me what Statham is wearing here? http://www.strapculture.com/files/JasonStatham8.jpg
  25. Congrats! Biggest thing in a mans life if you ask me I catch myself looking at watches thinking "Hmmm, I could get that for my girl for her second birthday.." Edit: Anybody know a cool watch rep for a little blond girl?
