  1. Gentlemen... I give you the McRolex!! Produced only in 25 and a half pieces.. Has the orginal "You are what you eat" engraving.
  2. Norbert, I LOVE that 25 years of service watch! ..one of the very very few Rolexes I would want to own.. And yeah Phoband, they were newbs like us.. ...back when their mullets interfered with the balance wheels, and Duran Duran was played full blast on the stereo behind locked doors so their parents would think they were masturbating.. ...instead of messing around with grandpa's best Rolex or counterfeit watches... -Ape-
  3. Damn, this is an expensive country I live in ;p Opinions will be plentiful, saying this and this brand is crap will always pop up in these topics, but I was trying to be positive and recommend a couple of TV's I KNOW are great. Having personally, since June, watched anything from football games to cartoons, played PS2, XBOX360, SNES and showed Jpeg pictures to the whole family on this TV, I KNOW this is a good and a safe buy. It's won a few tests, and is currently on the high-score top recommendation list of a serious AV-magazine here in Norway.. It might be crap after 2 years, I have no experience there... And it does have 1080p/i As I think was commented on here, an LCD is normally not as good as a plasma in a light room, we use the LCD in a moderately lit room with no direct daylight on the screen, and you are hard up to find any flaws. Out of the box the settings were no good, you have to mess around with picture correction (turning it off) and a few other settings.. People say Sony's X-series panels will/do look even better, but a considerably steeper price. PS: As watchwatcher suggests, it is of course called 2000, not 200 like I said in the first post
  4. After becoming a father last year I see war in a different light, I did not care as much before.. Now it breaks my heart just to think of the children that are killed in meaningless "conflicts" all over the world.. To see crying fathers holding up their dead and maimed children to a TV-camera, and begging for people's attention to the waste of it all is what gets to me the most. I feel in some way I can relate to their pain, because I know that losing a child must be the ultimate hurt.. Children being killed in school and on playgrounds or in their beds.. ..it makes it hard for me to have any sympathy for the people involved, soldiers, commanders and presidents on both sides alike, anyone remotely responsible for the death of an innocent child does not get my sympathy or compassion. I am lucky enough to live in a country unscathed by war the last 60 years, and I can see how people less fortunate see it differently, but I felt like writing this after again seeing pictures of bloody small hands and feet on TV.. -Ape-
  5. Just don't be a-going near any GD Geiger Counters with that sucker!
  6. Dutch club Philips Sport Vereniging Eindhoven, one of the better clubs in Holland of all times.. Often seen as a feeder/development-club for a host of stars to bigger clubs around Europe. Won the european cup, which is now replaced by the Champions League, in '88
  7. Get a mid priced 37-40" LCD, make sure it's good good viewing angle so you don't have to sit straight in front of it to see. Specifically, check out Sony KDL-40V200, it's a 40", crisp and calm picture and does not look HUGE on your wall. (I was looking for a TV for my brother, and I decided on this one after looking at 10-12 models) I do not know if this is the "best in the world" but I can pretty much guarantee you won't be disappointed. It sells for about $3000 here in norway now. If you go for plasma, check out the 42" Panasonic TH-42 PV60
  8. I sense bets about semis and finals.. and single matches, long before the end of may
  9. http://espnbrasil.uol.com.br/scripts/assista/assista.asp (I love how he mistook Johnsons head for a ball against Everton though) http://www.soccerblog.com/2006/09/video_an..._3rd_goal_a.htm
  10. yeah, and the woman saying "it is not designed for a homeowner.would not recommend it." obviously wanted something to fix her stove with..
  11. Better late than after the 12th.. I got my hard earned 20 on The Arsenal, Henry BEST be gettin' his score on!
  12. You could try here... It sometimes amazing how replica buffs can want a genuine watch..
  13. http://firewallmovie.warnerbros.com/contests.html Thata one?
  14. Happy to hear that, 310jag, I must admit I have a hard time separating it from some of the genuine ones one ebay (if they in fact are genuine), the raised letters and the crown give it away I guess, but I could not be happier with a watch at this price.
  15. I dunno how accurate mine is, an asian 111h from Andrew, the letters are raised like hell, but they line up pretty ok.. Not dead accurate, but I don't mind it.. So tell me, since I have no idea, is this what you mean when you say "bad"?
  16. WIS = Watch Idiot Savant I think Main Entry: idiot sa·vant Pronunciation: 'E-"dyO-sä-'vän, or same as IDIOT and savant for respective singular and plural forms Function: noun Inflected Form(s): plural idiots savants /-"dyO-sä-'vän(z)/; or idiot savants /-'vän(z)/ Etymology: French, literally, learned idiot Date: 1927 1 : a mentally defective person who exhibits exceptional skill or brilliance in some limited field 2 : a person who is highly knowledgeable about one subject but knows little about anything else So a Watch Idiot Savant basically is someone who is exceptionally skilled, brilliant or knowledgeable about Watches but is particularly worthless in most if not all other topics. They basically suck in bed
  17. OMG Hehe! I stand OH so corrected! How could I forget? ..beaten in 5 minutes of poor defending.. Having bought a few "seasoned" players this year, we can't really blame the youth policy for a bad start of the season. As far as CL goes, group G is a not an easy one, but I think Arsenal will make it through.
  18. I agree Edge.. Having watched quite a lot of Spanish football the last three years, I judge Beckham to be one of the best right siders in the liga.. He is their offensive drive and he works well their own half to. Game after game you see him hold the ball up and get their team out. He's saved Real's defence numerous times with his deep back-runs and well timed tackles. But England is unforgiving, just look at the national team, nothing is good enough (and I suppose that's the way it should be in a major football nation) BTW: I can't help being annoyed at DBR's "favourites" guide.. Saying Arsenal got VERY lucky last year making it to the CL final is wrong in my somewhat unbiased opinion.. Arsenal played a few GREAT games, that's what made the opposition look bad. Not that they were bad at the time they played them. Dead solid defence and a killer up front. Luck did not enter into it (other than the luck you have in any other match) as far as I am concerned. They lost the final 1-0 to a supposedly better (did you see Tourè tame Ronaldinho?) team due to bad luck and a useless norwegian ref. Just my opinion and I had to get it off my chest. -Ape-
  19. DAMN IT! You mock me, sir! And with the 1-1 against 'Boro I am in no mood. ..another day of poor finishing, what, 14-2 in finishes on target? Play Julio Baptista I say! He's a marksman. If and when I put my $20 on the table for Arsenal it's not because I believe they can win the CL this year. It's because of my love for the club and the team..
  20. It's a dull non-enticing commercial.. If i had never seen a Panerai before I would not think twice about them after seeing that.
  21. I wouldn't really fancy a gen Panerai after watching this..
  22. The diver on youtube ..Italy on a boring night I guess Panerai diver video Panerai Diver video 2
  23. Heh, jeg sa "Herre Min Helvetes Gud!" i kirka en gang..
