I Dremeled my V2 clasp the way OP describes and it now works perfectly.

Update: I got the new version of the plop today. The problem persists with the V2 clasp - The strap losens if I shake my wrist. I guess it's time to order a gen clasp

I once lost a gen old Navitimer on Pilot bracelet in a disco After that I use Loctite (and reps)

My goodness Thanks for sharing. One V fixes all issues And the clasp looks heaps better - not self deploying and less sharp edges. Oh boy oh boy oh boy - Can't wait to get mine
