I just thought I would mention that I never had any confidence in mutual funds or the like... i guess it is ok for someone who just wants to put their money somewhere and not need to care about it... but I like to keep my eye on my investments and make some decisions myself. I was interested in Rosneft sometime ago... a russian oil company but could not find out enough information about them.

Not sure if you are only looking at investing in the US market or if you are open to all markets... I used to invest in the US but felt that the time difference and everything made it difficult... plus I did not know that much about the US market being so far away from it... so I decided to just invest in the Australian market. I think i made a post sometime earlier this year... about some aussie stocks... the went really well... I invested in AED an oil company... bought at 1.50 and it broke 5 dollars last week... currently trading about 4.70. There are also a few others such as CDU (a copper mining company- very volatile), NWE, ISS, ARH, TAP, BMX, AZA, ARQ, CQT, ADY, ARHDA, GGG, IGO, RFG I keep my eye on... some I hold some I don't. We could keep updating this thread with stock picks and what we buy to help each other!!! If I had other ppl in the market investing together in the US, I would be keen in getting in there again! I have been keeping my eye on RIG and SU in the US market. I visit a few stock market chat forums and they have pretty good tips and information there! Maybe you should try to find a forum that talks about US stocks??? The RWG equivalent of the sharemarket and you will be set! Then you can post some tips here...

Haha... this topic is funny... there is nothing wrong with taking a few watches when you travel to asia... as long as you don't bring a whole briefcase of watches like the others mentioned... I think one on your wrist and maybe another 2 in the bag is ok.

Nice... but looks damn big tho that watch... what size wrists do you have? I think cos of the lugs or endlinks (or whatever you call that) that extend from the case... it looks a lot bigger

Well... it could be part of the plot if you think of it from another angle... cos Daytona's are pretty hard to get in real life so Uma's character might have just bought that watch of Canal St... and she was using the watch to time her pregnancy just by reading the big seconds hand... you don't need a chrono watch to time stuff... its not as if she pressed the start chrono button and then the stop chrono button (or did she?)...

Sigh... I am having a hard time getting my watch serviced in nz... only watchmaker I know here is the guy that owns the Rolex AD.... hehe

Ubi, just wanted your opinion regarding daytona's... the ss daytona is one of those very sought after watches with waiting lists at AD's i hear.... but I wonder, which is the more sought after model? and in what order... the el primero daytona? the 2001 daytona with secs at 6? or the newest daytona with the triangle markings on the bezel instead of the lines? I myself don't like the one with the triangle marking... oh... i guess the vintage daytona 6263 is also very sought after? I might just be contemplating on building a franken el primero like yours... but looks like it will cost about 3000??? Thanks Richard

Yeah... I used to play with nunchuks while I was younger.... but nothing like what you can do in the video! Quite impressive... though I am a bit dissapointed you did not have a watch on while you took the video...

oops... too late... posted that last nite... yes it was K1... it was pretty good... i missed the final match as I had to sleep early cos I had golf early today.

I must say the new pics of the chloe paddington's sash posted looks pretty good! And the newest birkin pics he has are really good as well.... I think they might be the super copies... but it is hard to tell if they have the slanted stitching... but they do look great.
