Wow.... looking good!!! so we can look forward to running seconds at 6 soon then!!! So can we call this a 31 jewel asian 7750 movement? hahaha... (seriously though, how many jewels in total?) And I am just wondering, with the 5 extra gears, does it make the movement thicker? Hence they would have to make the cases for the watches thicker as well to fit this modified movement?

My condolences Euno... I can't say I know how you feel... because it has never happened to me before... but I can imagine how sad I would be if I lost my father. I am one of the lucky ones where my dad is still living and healthy but he is getting old so I have always promised myself to try to spend as much time as possible with him and make him proud! For real? For a moment I thought the AR was pretty good looking from the photos posted by Josh... As for the datewheel... in some pics it looks blue and in others it looks darker...maybe just the angle?

We seem to be talking about 2 separate things in this thread. Firstly the panerai clock screensaver which has been provided - thanks for that! (took me a while to figure how to set it as the screensaver... duh!) Secondly, the panerai dealers clock. I just recently purchased one for usd169 and it arrived with the minute hand loose. I opened it up and refixed it myself, was pretty simple actually!

I dont think they ship by boat... haha... but as far as I know josh only ships ems... not sure since he set up the website though...

well some people leave the chrono running all the time... so the main second hand would be sweeping... but the 3 o'clock counter would advance once every minute and the 9 hour counter would advance once every hour....

the stopwatch feature (chronograph) is a counter... the main second hand in the real daytona is always at zero as well as the 3 and 9 subdials.... when you start the chronograph... the main second hand starts counting... the 3 subdial is the 30 minute counter and the 9 subdial is the hour counter... i do not know the history of the watch... i am sure someone else can give more details or you can google it... but basically i think the reason they call it the daytona watch is so drivers can use the watch to calculate their lap times??? The numbers on the bezel is sort of a conversion scale...i think....

hmm... the 6 subdial is usually a 24 hour counter in faux chrono reps... so if yours is sweeping it is a bit weird... sorry to say you have been scammed by bluefakes...but dont worry you will get a good one from andrew. all part of learning!!! what giorgio is asking is... if the 6 subdial is the sweeping second hand... what does the main second hand do? that is the one in the centre... the normal second hand on normal watches...

the movement looks pretty good... i don't know how it compares to gen tho...

There is something wrong with this photo UB7.... ok... try this... screw the crown back in.... press the top pusher (2 o'clock pusher) once.... this should either start or stop the chrono... if it starts it... push it again till the main second hand stops... then press the bottom pusher (4 o'clock pusher) this should reset the chronograph and the main second needle, and the two counters at 3 and 9 o'clock should reset to zero while the second hand at 6 o'clock should still continue sweeping.... If your watch does this... then it is a working chrono.... if not...faux chrono...

yours must be screwed on tighter than mine was... try a ball of masking/duck tape... roll up sticky masking or duck tape into a ball... and use that to unscrew the back... and yes it is anti-clockwise.
