I think this is a good idea.... I definitely need to find someone who will repair or service reps here in NZ...

In that case maybe you should go for the High Speed Memory stick reps... they are not as fast as the real sony high speed but maybe it can match the normal one.

I faced the same problem earlier this year when I was looking for a memory stick produo. I bought a 1Gb genuine from a friend who sells gen sony stuff.... he taught me how to tell the reps from the real stuff... You need to look at the back of the memory stick at the gold contact part... can't remember what the reps or gens were like...but if you post a pic of yours and i post a pic of mine we should be able to tell... there was something about a line running thru the middle the gold contacts if i am not mistaken.... quite hard to spot and you need to hold it under the light.

I think we still have a chance at making this the shortest thread ever... we just need to stop posting here... and post in every other topic till it gets to at least 16 pages!!!

Well, I am selling my VC overseas to fund the modification of my 029 from el.... but just wondering if any of you guys can give me advice on how to package the watch and what to put in the customs declaration so it will get to the US of A safe and sound... I am sure many members have done this... I will probably just wrap it in few layers of bubble wrap like how the dealers usually send it... just not sure about the customs declaration....

This is sad to hear... we all chipped in to donate when they did not receive their watches... and after they receive the watches... they don't give the money back! I say the money should be donated to the forum... we'll see if anyone stands up...

I thought we had a donation fund and all the ppl who lost money were refunded? And then there were those who either donated half or the full amount of their loss on the watch as well as I can recall? I was under the impression everyone had been refunded... or am I mistaken?

I also vote for the Senna version...which is what i got... just cos I like to be different... and find the plain version... as chronomat said... a bit plain... Just to let you know though, the caseback on the Senna is not accurate.

I am also financially supporting 2 boards and will also just stick to this one as I don't even visit any of the other boards any more.
