  1. Actually Dizzy, I think you are right...wrong case. I am just after a vintage watch that looks correct. Seems like some others on this forum rate the PT 1680-white very highly as it appears to have an acurate and clear dial printing. I am now looking for somebody in my neighborhood who can service the 2846...then I should be happy with a new daily beater.
  2. I'm still waiting for a reply regarding the dial face on the 5514 from Nikki at Puretime. It doesn't look like they want to deal with it. Apparently, nobody has purchased it here on the forum to verify...?
  3. Nikki Chen at Puretime (China) did get back to me to say they are investigating the dial. Changing out a dial and doing other mechanical things to my watches would be like performing my own dental sugury... I have to obtain watches all ready to go. Alligoat,m you say that the case & bezel are a 1665, I thought this was a 1680 (thinner case) with an HE valve? I don't really care, if the dial is okay...otherwise, I will get the 1680 (white). That gen on ebay is so nice!
  4. I am looking for either a recomondation (or a stay away) for purchasing this watch: Puretime's Rolex Submariner Comex 5514 http://www.puretimewatch.com/product/vintage-comex-submariner-5514-best-edition/ I know the pictures show a dial with hour markers out of alignment with the minute markers. And I have email Puretime last week (no answer yet)...does anybody own one, and is the 'problem' fixed...? I think it is such a great looking watch...!
  5. I was just at MBK in Bangkok a few weeks ago, and he says that all his watches come from Taiwan.
  6. Regarding the "1000ft"...it looks as though the first 'zero' is larger than the second two...could be an optical illusion. In fact, the "ft" is too close to the "1000", and the "1" is a different font when compared to the 'gen' just above. But close enough for 99% of anybody you would encounter.
  7. Jkay, I had scrolled down the dealer list and had somehow missed the Perfect Clones name, so, thanks for telling me they are a trusted dealer.
  8. Dear Zig This is reassuring to hear, especially coming from a builder/modder such as yourself. Which leads me to my next question... regarding the purchase of a non-chrono SOH...who is a recommended dealer offering real 'Swiss' ETA movement options (Perfect Clones not on our list)...?
  9. Thanks for that...I just gave it a read. And yes, interesting timing.
  10. So, you are saying the 'Orange' does not know what they are talking about, or are miss-informed...?
  11. I was viewing the site of a watch company (Orange) and came upon the following... Welcome to Orange Watch Company Automatic MovementOWC have been very careful in the choice of movement. ETA publicly stated that they will no longer supply to those outside of the Swatch Group. This means it will be practically IMPOSSIBLE for small bespoke makers (in fact anyone not in the Swatch Group) to buy legal ETA mechanical movements. The conclusions are obvious. As anyone who is considering the purchase of the SOH (such a beautiful watch) from dealers like Perfect Clones who offer a 'Swiss ETA' for an up-charge of US$50.00...how does this work, how are the dealers claiming to offer real 'Swiss' ETA in these times, or at the end of the day are they just shipping Asian copies...? http://www.perfect-h...242-p-4659.html

  13. Hi Neo, I just checked your site and am wanting to know... you offer two (2) movements on the MBK/MBW, an Asian movement, and an ETA movement. My question is: Is this how the watches are shipped to you (two versions), or do they come only as an Asian movement, and you personally upgrade the movement to ETA (for additional money) once you have recieved the watches. Thanks, LG
