  1. Agreed. Like the concept....don't like the result
  2. Yup, sweater weather these days
  3. Very nice work. You are a true asset to the forum Vac
  4. Welcome to RWG Well, there is not much accurate about either of these watches so modding for the sake of making them more genuine like is probably not a wise investment. That being said, your Carbon Fiber model looks like a standard 44MM case. I would try Davidsen for a new Sapphire crystal... Regarding your CG level looseness....The crown you have on it now is extremely thin. You might want to Try a T-48 Crown and then I expect your level will snug right up. With respects to your Fiddy - Yours appears to be the 44MM Mini-Fiddy with a standard Asian movement. You could check with someone like Vacume to see if he would take a look at it and repair it... Best of luck and enjoy the forum DL
  5. Great thread idea BT. I happen to like the White dial and have owned a number of them over the years of collecting. My Favorite is the Franken Explorer II if not for the fact that it is my favorite in the Rolex sport model line, then for the mere length of time it took me to complete it as you know too well I purchased the 3717 Spitfire Chrono with the full intention of swapping the White dial for a Gen Black Dial I had. Turned out I ended falling in love with the White dial and never did the swap. Just sold this piece...be interesting to see what the new owner does - Black or White? I also love the White dial of the Vacheron Constantin Overseas. I'm also quite fond of Panerai, in case you didn't pick up on that Some of my favorite White Dials: Franken 003B Luminor Marina with Gen Dial, Hands and crown 010B Base model 188 Daylight Chrono Last but not least. I know you are a big fan of the Blue Dial but I have always preferred the White Dial on the Steelfish I'm really considering the Panda Discovery the more I see you post it.... I really wish they made a good rep of the TT Ebel 1911 (Miami Vice). I have always thought that a really classy piece.

Looks nice. Wear it well and thanks for sharing
  8. Not sure what the answer is on the DW Dani I hear DSN has a pretty good datewheel these days so that might be an option.... Regarding the Xtal, I believe it is the Ultimate 199 that folks are using...I stuck with my 024 Xtal and Lello DW...Just couldn't see enough of a difference to warrant the expense and hassle of getting a 199 for the Xtal....
  9. That is an interesting point BT....Still a model I admire and in keeping with the style of the day today
  10. IHS ETA Noob would be the one then....PM BKLM....
  11. Great shots Tazz. That sure is a beautiful watch
  12. Another nice write up morlock. Thanks for sharing. There are some interesting Tag's out right now and this one might have gone unnoticed without your review.
  13. Wow, excellent review morlock. Welcome to RWG I've always liked the simplicity of the Colt series. Good to see a decent rep of it.
  14. Well said....What exactly was the advice you were looking for? Who has the best White Dial Explorer II?
