  1. I agree BT - it is the one that comes with me on the deserted island PO is next LR....have all the parts assembled
  2. t looks great stilty. I love the simplicity of the Explorer I dial. A beautifully modded classic
  3. Thanks for the comments. I'll try to answer all the questions. The original watch was purchased in 2004 from Paul and the work was all done by Ziggy over a 3 year period. I got the dial used on eBay, OEM hands and crowns from Ofrei and with all of the mods complete, I still did not come close to the price of a used SMP. I know because I had looking at genuines before embarking on this path, which by the way, is much more fun The genuine does not have AR but after putting on the OEM dial, I thought it deserved the Single Side AR treatment Chief does. It makes a huge difference and even a purist would be hard pressed to know it was coated - other than the anti-reflectivity The OEM HE valve is operable although I have no plans for diving with this one.
  4. Well, finally completed the Franken SMP. Just returned from Ziggy with the last of the mods. -Genuine dial -Genuine Hands -Genuine Crown/Tube -Genuine HE Valve -Better insert from SMP chrono -Chief Single AR -ETA 2824 engine -Old school case and bracelet (pins)
  5. Wearing my finally completed Franken SMP. Just returned from Ziggy with the last of the mods. -Genuine dial -Genuine Hands -Genuine Crown/Tube -Genuine HE Valve -Better insert from SMP chrono Chief Single AR -ETA 2824 engine -Old school case and bracelet (pins)
  6. Given that the Swiss 7750 is almost that price alone - no chance
  7. The Ti finish on the AMG doesn't look quite right to me - I vote standard Ingie with the mods - Lello datewheel, Chief Double AR, Ziggy relume - Hands are fine
  8. I thought Neil was selling Pasta dishes
  9. GMT hand is matte black so it is the lighting - Sweeping Seconds hand is polished silver as is genuine
  10. Davidsen does carry the hands in both sizes - for the 2836 and the 1.8M GMT hand for the 2893. I think Ziggy has already posted that the movement swap was straightforward.
  11. envious - all beautifully modded reps and a couple of nice genuines
  12. Nice collection. Thanks for sharing. That DeWitt is an interesting piece
  13. Very Nice - and a nice gesture to install it
  14. I suck at Lume shots but here are my feeble attempts - the first shot shows off the Lello datewheel better than lume :
  15. Finally, another one done. This one took a while to get to but I just got it back from Rob and the results are fantastic. It started life as a 2836 based model from Eddie. Ziggy just completed the following work on it: -Swap in new 2893-2 ETA movement -DSN hands -Superlume dial -Lello Datewheel -OEM Crown Here are the pics mounted on my new custom Metta Catharina strap with a sewn in Strapmasters Torpedo buckle. The smell and hsitory of this leather have been discussed at length but.....wow
  16. I love it Tribal. I'm a big fan of the Snowflake hand models as well... Nice Tiger Timm
  17. Sunday: 5218-202/A to watch the Patriots go to 18-0
