I was trying to get it into a gen bezel (before it was cracked with gen tri pearl), and despite the fact that both items are gen, it wouldnt budge. SO, I bent it ever so slightly and snap, pearl went flying off into the abyss.
LUCKY for me I found the pearl on the floor, but want to use it for a faded insert I have yet to source. So ole mkIII sitting in the parts box, broken head and broken heart
smudge is the shape of the coronet (crown).
if you notice its not really even on the left and the right, kinda pulls out on the left and dips in on the right, hence, looks "smudged"
Being sold as gen because it is. Had a gen one a few years back. Inserts gen just the lighting. And $4500 is not a deal. It's actually on the high side for this model.
Do your homework guys. There has never been a good rep of the 14060. This watch is legit.

one more thing, look at the 12 and 6 o'clock markers. Alignment is completely off. If the seller wont refund, I hope you used paypal cause this is clearly a fake and if advertised as gen pp will give you your money back no doubt.
good luck
Coronet looks fine but the printing is another story. Could be a late run when the printing isn't as sharp. Numbers on chronos are different. Not sure of authenticity.

That's a serif dial. In the early 5 million serial range so 79 is unlikely, more like 77. The case may have a 79 serial but that dial is earlier.
This looks like the dial on that watch http://www.network54.com/Forum/539572/message/1345660278/5513--5.09mil+SN%2C+feet+first+with+serif+lume+bars--posted+by+Evisu140
