I have the gen cv2113 and the white rings are way too thick. Therefor, I go with the al black one. lso, I must say my gen racing strap (with black stitch) look more padded.

Hi, I've got a gen Carrera and it came with a black croc. I now have it on an aftermarket perforated strap from the bay. Bought it for around EUR 35 and the quality is descent. Also, I have a custom strap on the way from a watchmaker in Spain, Jacobs Straps. He makes awesome perforated straps for around EUR 80. He's making a brown distressed one for me, because Tag doesn't make the perforated strap in brown. Email him for pics.

Usually the rep ones have Sh#tty pearls. I haven't found a descent blue one yet.

There is only one Monaco and it's blue.Althought I love the vintage Gulf dials too. Quit downgrading the legend Tag!

Yeah I read some ugly experiences with the wholesale guy. I'll check out Krysworks, but I read somewhere the their AR isn't all that... Also heard from a member that 2Geek had a nice crystal for the SMP, but they don't seem to offer that anymore..

Hi all, Just got message from Domi. My 3717-01 has had an upgrade and is ready for shipping back to me. This time I got a gen dial, gen hands and gen tube/crown. Can't wait!!!!! So now for the perfect strap... Who has experience with the black alligator strap from The Watch Boys? Is it good quality? Value for money? I'm thinking of the black croc/white stitch version.. Thnx a lot!

Hi and welcome to the forum. I guess the answer to your question depends on your goal: do you want an awesome, close to gen watch or are you looking for a hobby? A lot of guys here take pride and joy in the process of getting the (gen) parts together, and modding the watches piece by piece. Some of them do it theirselfs, but others (like me) use the rep-friendly watchmakers on the forum. On you side of the Atlantic that would be Chieftang, The Zigmeister, Vaccuum for instance, but there are more.
