depends on the type of watch: chronograph or not. Usually the non-chrono's are affordble with a swiss movement, usually an ETA movement. With these models I would advise to go with a swiss movement. Chrono replica watches often have an asian movement, based on the swiss Valjoux 7750 movement. Reason is the swiss version is much more expensive. Diffrence between asian version and swiss version is about $400. The asian version is usually refered to as the A7750. It is said that if you get a A7750 serviced, it is just as good as a swiss one.

So.. few months later, let me tell you how the story ended. I started a Paypal dispute against him because he did not respond to my mails. After that, he did respond. Tried to get him to switch my quatz dial with auto dial. After a lot of avoiding, he finally said that all his dials are quartz, although he shows pictures of auto dials. Finally, Paypal told me to send it back and hand the proof that I did.Then they would refund me. So, I did. Scanned the receipt from TNT and gave them the tracking number. Turns out, the Ducth postcompany does not have an agreement with the Swiss Post, so the tracking number is useless. So Paypal wouldn't refund me. No dial, no refund, go me! Anyway, sellers name is Edelweiss2000 and his company's name is Combarieu in Switserland. Found a few complaints on him here and there. Anyone got a bond dial...?

Hi Skittlz, Concepta doesn't respond to me either so don't take it personal. There is another supplier of gen stuff here, as you might have discovered. PM me if you want more info. In my opinion the whole proces of collecting parts is part of the hobby and it extends the wow-I-got-a-new-goody period! @ Colt: do you have the v1 or v2 strap? v2 is much better..

To my knowledge V2 is the best you can get. Trusty offers it with swiss movment for about $ 800. Be aware of the 42mm (incorrect) version, you probably want the accurate 44mm. Also the V2 has a much better kevlar strap. Gen parts you can get from Domi,he did my 3717. Also, you might want to consider an aftermarket AR-treatment or an aftermarket crystal with AR.

+1 on the patience! I'm working on a black bond version since june now. Still waiting for the bezel insert (it's ordered from PT) and haven't found the gen dial yet....But the hands and the watch itself are in the pocket! @ A: still no luck on the brace?

Hi all, I'm still looking for the perfect strap for my 3717. I already got one or two business-watches on croc, that i use mostly for work. For this one, I want a more casual strap. I just ordered a Cartier Ballon Blue from Trusty, for my mommy. It's very close to gen and has swiss quatz movement. Best thing is the gen doesn't have AR, so that won't be missed!

PT was kind enough to let me order a SMP chrono bezel insert. Let you know when it arrives, I'll do a little pepsi test.
